Lovely cave split into 3 chambers, over 400 steps to contend with, a real tourist trap, so busy you had to queue to get around, nicely lit and still worthwhile

My wife and I visited Dau Go Cave as part of an excursion on Halong Bay. It is the type of attraction you will probably need to purchase as a package. Anyhow, getting there is half the fun. The cave entrance sits high up the side of the island. It is over 100 steps from the dock to the cave... More

Came here on boat tour and even with wet weather it was enjoyable. Beware that there is about 120 stairs to start of cave. The cave was well lit an well worth the climb as you can get a nice photos by entrance. Nice wee beach that you can kaykak or swim from at bottom.

So enjoyed walking through the caves. Rtificial lights highlight various aspects of the caves. Our tour guide escorted our group through the caves and highlighted various features of the caves. Worth the effort.

A few people were distressed by the initial climb up (via steps) to the entrance of the cave but after that it was a great experience. Lighting was good highliting the formations. It's a lot bigger than I expected. One of the better comerciallized caves I've been in.

It’s a smallish cave, I wouldn’t go there just to see it, but as part of a tour is nice to see. The lighting is good to highlight certain areas as is the lions face

Yes, very touristic but a beautiful cave. The lighting is nicely done and will highlight the most important things. Went here with a guide which explained the 'hidden' holy beasts in the rocks. Dragon, turtle, Phoenix and lion. We went on a MORNING tour and could walk on our own pace. In the afternoon a lot of daytrip tourists from... More
