Beware that with e-visa you cannot exit Vietnam through the border crossing between Dien Bien Phu and Muang Khua. The only exception is when you are leaving the country on the last day of your e-visa validity period. Otherwise, they just don't let you exit....More

It take about 1 hours from center of Dien Bien Phu town by motorcycle. Those Vietnam Military Headquarters facilities were in the jungle. It' s fan to looking around historical Dien Bien Phu downtown. but I recommend to go Vietnam military HQ in Dien Bien...More

Dien Bien Phu was awesome. Small town and very quiet. Walked from airport to hotel no problem. Stayed at Ruby Hotel which was clean and good. Centrally located to all sites. Read up on battle here and it will make more sense. Awesome open market...More
