Just amazing.....all of us were just amazed by the beach. Went to Phuket after 7 years. Really lovely beach. Only limited access since Hotel guests use the beach. We stayed at the Dusit Thani resort at Phuket which is on Bang Tao beach. Truly wonderful.

Although the general profile of this beach has changed over the 10 years we have known it, it's still a very relaxing place to spend some chill time, you just need to go a bit further to find it, ie. the further away from Bang...More

The south part feels overcrowded, but not too bad. Many high class resorts means that the prices at restaurants/bars are on the high side.

Not too busy, clean sand. Always something happening without being crowded. Little crabs in sand. Warm water sometimes with little stingy things (I don't know) they were harmless. Polite traders. A wonderful corn lady, I think the best corn I have ever tasted. Water shallow...More

Busy but pretty and decent area sectioned off for bathing. Hotels and restaurants right next to the beach - no road to cross.

I absolutely had to give a shout-out to a particular longtail boat operator we used several times while staying in this area. If you're interested in the most comfortable longtail experience in Thailand, look for the bright blue and yellow boat. The name on the...More
