Coral Island's Banana Beach and Long Beach provide everything that can be desired on a day excursion to a pristine tropical island with stunning beach scenery, virgin rain forest backdrop, good reef snorkeling (Banana Beach only) and full menu of active and passive water sports. Banana Beach is more quiet and laid back, actually the beach lounges are under natural shade, modern clean amenities and of 5 star standard of restaurant and service. The design of all buildings is amazingWe even barge in fresh water for our guest's to wash the salt off before heading back to the resort.Nice touch for the ladies! Long Beach is a 800 meter long white sand Beach with several of the biggest watersports companies in Thailand which cater for all looking for an active day swimming, basic snorkeling, SASUBA Hookah Diving,Try Scuba Diving, Sea Walker, Parasailing (old beach take-of style), Banana Boat rides. All water sports are available at Banana Beach as well as coral viewing clear kayaks, however the active sports are operated far away from the beach thereby maintaining the tropical beach relaxed ambience. Summary: Banana Beach: The day trip is slightly higher in price, 5 star in service, quality of activities, 5 star restaurant, 5 star amenities, 5 star speedboats, 4 star coral reef and water conditions. from 2,300 baht each.( Banana Beach Coral Island is nominated for "Best water sports day-trip" and "Best speed boat day trip" in Phuket in Thailand Tourism Awards" Long Beach : Budget price day trip, fun for the action seekers, a little busy for those looking for a quiet beach. Water sports is of same price as Banana Beach however you may to queue for turns and the standard is rated 3 star.

If you are in Rawai area this is definitely what you should do. Take a longtail boat for 1500THB (( both ways) + rent snorkling equipment on the coast ( as it's more expensive on the island)) to Banana beach. Get there a bit earlier ( till 10:00) if you want to get the best spots on the beatifuful beach... More

Clear blue sea from the surface level only. Below it, you can see only a type of fish: Pomacentridae

The view was breathtakingly beautiful, and the water was warm and comfortable. We booked a one-day trip with Nikorn Marine, and we could do whatever we liked most of the time. We went snorkelling just a few hundred feet from the shore, when we saw hundreds of multi-coloured fish. Although some of the corals had been killed by the tsunami... More

Beach is stony and filled with shells that pinch feet. We did a day trip from Phuket and first went to Raya island for snorkelling and then here. Would recommend just doing Raya island. Coral island is a waste of time.

Coral island is the worst place to go. DON'T go there. Packed with tourists, especially Chinese (and a lot). Beaches are dirty. And they let you sit on beach chairs, feeling like you were ready to go to war. Aligned and squeezed like soldiers. Speed boats all around. Never ever again.

I am a huge snorkeling fan, and my wife is a huge fan of nice sand on nice beaches. This place had it all. Lots of shade with cheap chairs for rent, beautiful sand, crystal clear water, lots of fish which are fun to feed, and very good off-shore snorkeling (I saw a beautiful moray eel, a giant jellfish, clownfish,... Coral island (Koh Hey) with Scuba Diving We did this full day tour arranged via our excellent hotel Nap Patong. It was a tour of Coral island (Koh Hey) conducted by Nikorn Marine - Day Tours. It was a good trip. The plus points were the short 15 min speedboat ride to the island, our doing scuba diving & snorkelling... More
