Coral Island's Banana Beach and Long Beach provide everything that can be desired on a day excursion to a pristine tropical island with stunning beach scenery, virgin rain forest backdrop, good reef snorkeling (Banana Beach only) and full menu of active and passive water sports. Banana Beach is more quiet and laid back, actually the beach lounges are under natural shade, modern clean amenities and of 5 star standard of restaurant and service. The design of all buildings is amazingWe even barge in fresh water for our guest's to wash the salt off before heading back to the resort.Nice touch for the ladies! Long Beach is a 800 meter long white sand Beach with several of the biggest watersports companies in Thailand which cater for all looking for an active day swimming, basic snorkeling, SASUBA Hookah Diving,Try Scuba Diving, Sea Walker, Parasailing (old beach take-of style), Banana Boat rides. All water sports are available at Banana Beach as well as coral viewing clear kayaks, however the active sports are operated far away from the beach thereby maintaining the tropical beach relaxed ambience. Summary: Banana Beach: The day trip is slightly higher in price, 5 star in service, quality of activities, 5 star restaurant, 5 star amenities, 5 star speedboats, 4 star coral reef and water conditions. from 2,300 baht each.( Banana Beach Coral Island is nominated for "Best water sports day-trip" and "Best speed boat day trip" in Phuket in Thailand Tourism Awards" Long Beach : Budget price day trip, fun for the action seekers, a little busy for those looking for a quiet beach. Water sports is of same price as Banana Beach however you may to queue for turns and the standard is rated 3 star.

Phuket itself is not the only place for beach and water activities. It acts as a hub to other islands which you can explore more activities. For example, you could visit Phi Phi island, James Bond, or Coral Island. I only chose Coral island because it had so many activities. The rest were mainly for laying on the beach, swimming,... As the title says it all, the beach is really beautiful, the sand is so soft and the water is really clear! There are a lot of tourist and the prices of the food and drinks can be pricey, so remember to haggle the price if you can!

WE took this half day tour as it was only 15 minutes from Phuket. The beach itself looks nothing like the photos and there is definitely no coral at all to be seen. We did get some snorkelling in and managed to see a few fish. It is extremely busy with boats constantly coming and going, and the swimming areas... More

It's an small, clean and beautiful island with a nice Beach. There are many water sports activities available like banana boat, para ride etc. It's definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a less crowded Beach.

A bunch of us was rather dissapointed because there is no coral in this Coral Island. Many tourist mainly from China. Once you seen it you never want to go back here again. The sand is rough. There is snorkeling, diving, banana boat and parachuting and it is very costly 900 baht per person for banana boat. Guess they know... More

I wanted to visit as many islands as possible, at the port you are herded around like cattle and as many as possible loaded onto boats for the trip to coral island ,although this is a beautiful island it was completely ruined by many many speed boats coming in and out with there fumes stinking everything up. There is also... More

Had a half day tour to Coral Island during our stay in Phuket. Had to take a boat from Phuket to Coral Island. Was a bumpy ride thanks to the weather. The reason for our visit wa to try water sports. Because we had booked a half day tour we ended up being hungry the entire second half of the... More

We visited Coral Island for a day on a long boat which we boarded from outside the Aquarium near the Kantary Bay hotel. We had a local man called Don driving the boat who I must say was very helpful and spoke fairly good English. We visited Banana beach which I have been told is the best place to go.... More
