Coral Island Tour With Bonfire Adventures
We enjoyed an Island tour on a Private Speed Boat. All this thanks to Bonfire Adventures. The tour guide was so professional. He picked us up on time and we enjoyed an exciting time. Then after that we enjoyed the day walking through the city, shopping and enjoyed the hotel.

Pretty but fairly dirty and crowded
This island seemed a little disappointing after having been to Ratcha Island earlier in the day. For me it was too crowded and really quite dirty with lots of rubbish not being collected or taken away by businesses after people had long left the sunbeds. The sea as nice as it looked was also much more choppy than the previous island so harder to relax in.

    Beautiful beach ruined by overcrowding
Amasing island, but starting to get run down. The old overnight cabins are dilapidated and an eye sore. The sea water is clear BUT getting overcrowded with tourists. Food served on these tours are mediocre. Drinks prices a rip off

We went to Coral island ,Thailand last week and as everyone says it’s very busy.So when a buggy man came and offered to take us to a quieter beach we went. However,we weren’t in the water for more than a couple of minutes when my husband screamed and had two long spikes in the bottom of his foot. Those i pulled out,but also he had about 20-30 bites,i only got one, which was really painful. I didn’t pay attention (we were in so much pain) to what it was. The waitress got it up straight away on her phone and gave us an empty beer bottle???? we weren’t sure what to do.The buggy man came and said you have to hit them.when they bleed its ok.You seriously bruise your foot doing this.He said apparently that beach had these things, but they weren’t on the other beach.i have yet to find out their name but if you are going here ,be careful

Where do I start.

The beach and the landscape is beautiful. But the crowd oh my god. If you’ve ever been to Baga/candolim you’ll get what I’m saying. It’s full to the brim with tourist groups. As with all tourist places, it’s overpriced and the value for money isn’t that desirable. A 2 minute jet-ski ride or a small banana boat ride costs around 500 baht per activity when you get them all together. They take an additional 500 baht for underwater sea walk photos, which I’ll attach below so you can see how much they’re ripping off tourists. Parasailing was fun but it was hardly 2 minutes long. It’s a very successful tourist trap and because we’ve already paid so much to get there, we pay even more to get the ‘full experience’. 2500 baht in INR is 5500/- and all the things I could rather do with that money in Thailand makes me wish I had just sat this through.
Yes, it was fun. Yes, I did enjoy. But looking back, it was just too overpriced.

The other thing is, there was no personal feel to the activities. If our group was the only group that was being hosted by the guides, the price probably would’ve seemed better. But there were hundreds of tourists, all Indians, being herded by the guides. Are we Indians so desensitised to being disrespected and being treated like animals that we not only accept this behaviour but also pay for it?

The under-water sea walk was disappointing to say the least. Don’t believe the pictures they put online. The water was green and there wasn’t one coral on site. If you couldn’t go inside the water due to some issue (maybe pain in the ears) then your money is gone. 1000 baht wasted. They don’t give refunds. A lot of people had difficulties going inside and the guides weren’t patient since they had other groups to herd.

The beach was over-crowded and even the shacks were full. I enjoyed the fresh cut fruits the street side vendors were selling.

Don’t believe the photo I put up or the others.

Even though when you look out into the sea in front of you, you see beauty. It’s what’s in the water that disappoints.

We were having a beautiful time snorkeling and for some reason the crew we went with were in a rush to get us here. We got here and it was anything but the write up.

The water was full of rubbish (disgusting), the beach had rubbish on it, there were cigarette buts around the chairs.

Unless they clean up the beach and the water I would never recommend coming here

This island is just 15 min away from southern tip of Phuket (Karon beach)...True to its name it has one of the best coral spots and beautiful marine life one can experience snorkelling and scuba diving...Would recommend taking water shoes due to sea urchins in the water though that could sting.....

I would suggest to skip this island as it's Average beach with lots of stone and rock, thus be careful and better to put on those snorkeling shoes to prevent injury unless the trip includes snorkeling. We booked the trip from Klook and the local guide is Sea of Dreams which there is no snorkeling as the guide said the coral was destroyed by Tsunami. The water at the beach is not too clear and nothing great. There are many people at the beach. Sea sports are expensive as mentioned by others like 800 baht for just a very very short para sailing ride, 1 minute. The same ride at Patong beach is much longer. The fruit smoothie costs 150 baht.

Its ok to visit but don’t expect to see any coral because it has all been destroyed. The activities on the island are very expensive. A 1 minute parasail will cost you 800 bhat. Yes 1 minute thats all you get. The beaches are nice its only really good to chill out there and nothing else. If you walk into the jungle of the island you will notice how filthy it is from the vendors that stay there. Overall its not worth going there. There are many other much better island to vist.
