Enjoyed it. Wooden building and you can see the craftsmen at work. Very beautifully done. Had nice lunch there afterwards too.

This is absolutely stunning and deserves to be a highlight. I have seen many temples in Thailand. This is not a temple but a 'museum'. My god, the architecture and detail stunned me more than anything else I have seen here. Stunning. It is more than just something to view. It's about learning and hence the name. Made me think. Time your visit. I highly recommend the guided tour which is done in a few languages. You will not understand a lot of the history or appreciate what you are looking at. You will also miss important details. The guided tour is about an hour and a half. The guide was very good. It gets very hot so go early if you can. Grounds are huge. The entrance ticket is not cheap but worth it for sure. If you want to do additional things like the elephant ride, massage or boat ride to name a few then these are all additional costs. You could spend half a day here or just an hour or two. It really depends on your interests. I wanted to see the main part, The Sanctuary Of Truth. After the guided tour, I walked a little myself, took photographs and then went. I was there for about two hours. There is a souvenir shop and a few places that you can buy drinks. Not sure about food. Take a taxi if you are staying in the main part of town. Cheap.

Pros:
Lovely detailing and architectural structure that is worth the visit.

Cons:
As a previous resident of Thailand it’s really unfortunate to see elephant riding still happening here as you can evidently see the pain they’re in. This in itself makes me question whether this is worth the 500bht enterance fee as it taints the beauty of the acreage. As a young person I question the working conditions of the employees that are carving, this is part of the tour however there are no details shared about how the owner supports the well-being of their employees. Whilst based on great values, it would’ve been great to hear a more progressive and modern approach to the 7 truths. Equally, some of the examples used in the tour my family and I perceived as gender stereotyped and transphobic.

Well beyond our expectations. Our perfectly English-speaking guide supplied with entrance price could only be described as enthusiastic and thoroughly knowledgeable. Stunning work in progress - a real must-see!

This is neither a temple or a place of thought or reflection it is purely a constructed tourist attraction... made by a millionaire who established Mercedes Benz , krungthai bank etc ... he also made other tourist attractions ... this is Disney rather than spiritual ..they have a dolphin show which apart from the entrance fee costs extra ..

Hello there! Thank you for visiting the Sanctuary of Truth Museum and leaving a review. We just wanted to clarify that the place is not a temple or a spiritual place but a museum with a significant story behind every creation of arts and carving. And about the Dolphin show, it doesn't exist for how many years already. We offer various activities but only for those who would like to have any extra adventures during their visit. We appreciate your review, and through this, we will be encouraged to serve our customers better. Thank you.

Located on the seashore, this flamboyant Thai style wooden structure presents the mixture concepts of Buddhist and Hinduism with uncountable amounts of details carved along every square inches of its wall and pillars. Visitors can enter the place in the given schedule (every 30 minutes starting from 08:30 to 17:00). However, we fed a lot of grass to goats and deer while we were waiting for the next round.

In each group, there is a guide that will explain some facts, concepts and philosophies behind some ornaments. Also, each visitor will be given a helmet ; since, there are always some constructions and maintenances (which never will complete) at the place. In my opinion, this place is stunning and its intense decoration is gorgeous (feel like modern Angkor). There are so many nice spots, so don't forget your camera.

Although our guide was very nice and tried to provide many interesting facts for us (such as the place was constructed in the old way without using a single nail), I think that 1 hr lecture is too exhaust for most visitors (30 minutes should be enough). After wandered around and took numerous photos, we ended up in a souvenir shop and bought a small wood carving.

Entrance fee is 500 baht (but we bought 380 baht best price from klook). In fact, there are many activities (with extra charge) can be done in this place, for example, horse riding, elephant riding, ATV driving, canoeing along the river and taking speedboat to the sea.

Really splendid !
Recommend.

Thank you for visiting the Sanctuary and for leaving a review. Your review about the 1-hour tour is noted. (this is to really give the guests the details of the place, the reason why it takes 1 hour) Have a nice day!

A must-visit to those going to Pattaya for the first time. This museum showcases some of the religions in Asia, and the construction of the building itself is majestic (all-wood and no nails)! Try and join the free tour guides to learn about the 7 Truths.
