If you have young kids then you can probably drop them to Ripleys and spend some time inside the same mall or outside on the beach road for local shopping. This is an experience which i feel is only for kids.

Fun place to spend 2 to 3 hours. You get to select a package with different activities. I highly recommend the haunted house, but its not for the faint of heart. Honestly the best experience there. The museum is also nice with some weird stuff you don't see everyday and some optical illusions.

Located on the 3rd floor of Royal garden plaza, this cool place has 7 main attractions.
1. Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum
This museum exhibits many rare items, eccentric people and some weird facts collected from all around the world. Very interesting museum (and very good for kids, although little bit scary).
2. Louis Tussaud’s wax museum
This zone contains many wax models of celebrities and famous characters. In my opinion, I think that some of them don't match the reals. Just OK.
3. 12D Moving theater
Huge screen with 3D glasses plus seats that can move into 8 directions and some special effects makes it 3+8+1=12. Very fun, especially for kids.
4. The Vault laser maze
Imagine yourself a spy performing a mission as fast as possible without touching any entangled laser beams. Very fun, especially when we saw our miserable movement on video after the mission.
5. Infinity maze
Take off your shoes, wear provided gloves and socks, then walk into the 16 connected rooms that formed an illusory maze. Ones have to randomly push some positions on the wall and hope that it will be a secret door to the next chamber. Very fun, with little bit anxiety if you stuck there too long (kids may cry).
6. Scream in the Dark
Take a tram into a dark cave plenty of creepy clowns. But don't worry, you still have a laser gun! Aim at the green spots appeared on these clowns and gain points. Your final score will be shown after the activity. There's also your photo (during the activity) sold at the exit. Very fun, but quite scary. Not recommend for some kids and coulrophobia person.
7. Ripley’s Haunted adventure
An abandoned morgue where you will find many disfigured corpses (both models and live actors). Here, you must walk in the dark, suddenly encounter blood soaked zombies, witness a human body dissection by an insane doctor, get chased by a psycho killer with a chainsaw, etc (sorry, no more laser gun). There are also your photos (during the activity) sold at the exit. Thumb up for all actors. This is the highlight. Damned horrible ! Not recommend for any kids and fearful person.
Each of us bought two 399 baht/3 activities tickets and paid an extra 300 baht for the rest.
Thank you for providing us a very fun half day.
Worth the money and time. Highly recommend.

Based upon the colour of your skin and accent, the price is different. 500 Thb for farrangs and 350 Thb for Thais. Leaves a bad taste when I am in the attraction, so I did not enjoy any of it. Why should foreigners have to pay more?

Friends treated me to a morning out in this place.
It isn't really my 'cup of tea', and the dual pricing I found annoying...

The museum is located in the Royal Garden Plaza shopping mall on the beach road and is easily identified by the red airplane sticking out of the mall. There are several attractions on the floor including a wax museum, a haunted house and another horror attraction - scream in the dark, a 4DF cinema and two mazes in addition to Ripley's. You can visit the museum on its own or combine the visit with other attractions for discounted combo tickets.
The museum showcases oddities from around the world. There are shrunken human heads, medieval torture instruments, pieces of the Titanic, art made from lint, world' largest beer can collection and the largest, smallest and oddest objects. A replica of the DC3 aeroplane used by Ripley in his journeys is placed at the entrance to the museum with most of its body and tail sticking out of the mall.
The museum is unique and definitely worth a visit.

The displays are extraordinary. The sequence of the displays is also taken care of. At some places the lights were not functioning owing to which we had to use the mobile torch for reading about the exhibit. However overall the place was very well maintained

We had taken the pass for all seven attractions but we opted out of two attractions that we did not want. The Ripley's was interesting and the most of our time was consumed by this section only. The exhibits are meticulously planned and maintained. The other attractions are simply mediocre. The seats of the 9DX cinema were not comfortable at all and the specs not cleaned properly. Movie was horrible. The Infinity maze was somewhat interesting. Scream in the dark was a disaster. Haunted Adventure was almost similar. All in all the only satisfaction was that we liked the Ripley's

The world of Ripleys has so many interesting facts. There are a few exhibits you can see. So great value if you choose a few of them as a package.

Visited only the odditorium (museum). OK and interresting but much to expensive. 649 bath when I payed at the entrance directly. I know the meaning is to by 3 or 5 attractions for better price but if they want more people to visit, make the price lower!

There aren't any games. It is a series of exhibit halls.
How much time does it take to enjoy all the 7 attractions? And what is the best time to visit(as in morning, evening or night)
