Lovely buildings and walkways with interesting stalls- however a lot of them were empty due to covid and the fact that tourism is still on the low in Pattaya. It could be a lot better if more people went, and encouraged tourism so that more stalls could open. Prices were average,, maybe slightly higher than street prices but again, this must be supported in order for it to grow. It cost 200 baht to enter and if you wanted to do the boat ride, have a drink and snack it was a total of 800 baht. We did not do the boat ride. Had a smoothie and bought a couple of bits.

Placed was empty and dead. Not a good place to spend time at. Food was decent, but overall energy was deficient—not worth visiting.

It is a run down after pandemic. Most stalls are closed. We bought admission ticket baht200, good that we didnt opt for baht800 providing boat ride as the water is so green. Went there on sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. We only spent around 10 minutes and left.

Be aware this is not a ‘real’ floating market. It is a fake tourist attraction. Locals don’t come here to shop. You pay an entry fee.
Don’t get the boat! You can walk around every shop on the market - the boat looked like it made things harder, you can’t get into any of the shops from the boat!
That being said, once past the disappointment of being lured in, we had a perfectly pleasant time walking around, looking at all the souvenirs and clothing and grabbing some lunch.
Food was pretty average - I don’t think you’d expect anything more from what is, effectively, a collection of gift shops.

Not much to see inside, lots of shop still close, maybe since Covid pandemic. Paid 200baht/pax for the sightseeing, 800/pax if you want to ride the boat. Consider giving contribution to the state, you get to see old thai ways of selling things.

This place is one of the places badly hit by covid. we visited in April'22 & found mostly shops to be shut with no boat tours. Not sure when it will be fully open with all activities shown in pictures.

This is seriously the biggest tourist trap of Thailand. You drive on a boat along houses at the water who sell souvenirs. We have seen maybe 3 boats that sold stuff from their boats and even that was for tourists. What a scam. It should be taken out of the tours.

There is not much that this place has going for it. They have duel pricing. Thai people or people that look Thai are free. Foreigners are 200 baht each. Inside is just overpriced food and souvenirs that you could have anywhere. It is not a real floating market. Just a manmade structure made 14 years ago to cash in on tourists. There has been litte to no upkeep since then and the wooden structures are falling apart. They make deals with Thai and Chinese tour groups to stay afloat (pun intended). Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Foreigner entry fee is 200 baht.
Not really worth it. If you want to see a genuine market, there are dozens about. It's nothing more than a tourist trap selling tourist rubbish priced far above normal market prices. After all, it's little more than an open air mall.

How far is it from pataya city to the market

Hello Abu Salim,
Sorry for the late reply. I have been away from the computer too long :(
As Pattaya City is large - from any point a taxi drive would be between 20-30 minutes. It is true.
Traffic is busy and parking hard to find.
Hiring a paid-driver would offer you the most convenience and comfort, so you and your fellow traveling friends / family have no stress and do not need to navigate anything to get there safely.
Unlike where I live, Canada, Thai Driver's will pick you up AND drop you off when you are finished at any exhibit.
Furthermore, (and of most benefit to us) - they also wait for you and you do not need to find another driver to take you back to your hotel!
The price is not high and you have every confidence this way to know that you can go to and from activities and enjoy them without needing to plan routes or find alternate ways to get back home.
It is a wonderful system. Your hotel front desk can help you arrange a paid-driver to provide this service.
Please do not try to navigate the public transit system, unless you are very clear on your route and are fluent in the language.
I hope this helps!
Safe Travels!

Its bit far from the city. You will have to hire a taxi from the hotel which will take you to the floating market. It will be almost 30min ride. You should hire same taxi to go and come back otherwise you will not get any transportation from there.
If you will contact to some travel agent then he will book your tickets in advance and they will give you the coupons to show it at the entrance. But you can go by yourself also and book the ticket at the counter also. There not much difference in rates.
Cost it apx 300baht per person.

Only Entrance fee is 200 BHT/person , then they have lot of different plans like Entrance with boating or Buffet lunch. And they charge around 800 or 1000 bht / person.
You may visit it once and it depends person to person if they like it or not.
