    Well worth a visit
Great experience, long walkway up to the Buddha statue, well worth seeing. Lots of small Buddhas which I see the last guy complained about, in reality these represent the days of the week and the Thais pay merit to the day of the week they were born to give them good luck. The large stone was the same say a prayer and if you stand a coin on its edge it gives you good luck. Worth visiting, there is some tourist tat too but you get that at most religious sites around the world, look at lourds a full street full of it.

    Beautiful experience
I went to Big Buddha temple on my second day and it was a beautiful experience. We did the blessings with two monks were they tie the coloured string and presented a monks robe and did a water ritual. It is a great view and afterwards great to go to the nearby monument for food and a smoothly.

Great inspiring and enjoyable place on top of Pattaya
Great view at he entire Pattaya Bay and Jomtien ! Feeling the importance and the spirit of Buddha all over the place with his rich offerings of Buddha sculptures. Kids enjoyed the tradition to place and throw the coins. Back down we got yhe blessing by the monk and left happy and inspired! We will be back.

    Avani Pattaya Golfing
We went on a organised golf trip to Pattaya and played some of the best courses in Thailand. On our rest days we arranged a visit to the Big Buddha. We organised a private hotel car with driver for the trip which was the best option. The visit to the Big Buddha was fine but would recommend a visit to The Sanctuary of Truth. Be aware of the high humidity and have plenty of water.

The Secret Garden was a discovery!
I took a motorcycle taxi from Jomtien Beach to The Statue and Gardens. The Buddhas are stunning, but, right below the Temple was a closed off, unkempt Garden. Like a secret, i couldnt resist crossing the barriers! Im glad I did!

    Beautiful
Amazing view. Very pretty temple. I think the trinkets you could buy were a little overpriced. I came across a night market later on and could find the same items for a less expensive price.

Well worth the visit, if you are in or around Pattaya. This was a quick stop off on the way to another excursion, we only stayed about 30 minutes, but it was truly awesome

Very nice. Close to downtown. Free to enter. Ladies must cover knees and shoulders. Only one half to one hour to see. Easy stairs to the top.

This place in Pattaya was something I wanted to see as a tourist, but it ended up touching me spiritually too. It's a must-visit regardless of your faith. There's a bit of walking, but the views are worth it. I'd recommend it to everyone. Enjoy!

Everyone loves a free activity and this is it. You can donate money if you want or buy prayer things for your Gospel statue. The views from this point are beautiful so good photo opportunity. Very busy at the time we went which was around lunchtime

Not really worth seeing. Only good thing is that it is for free and the view down on the city is not bad. For those who are religious I think it makes it s better experience. From a tourist point of view extremely disappointing.

Lots of traffic getting up the hill. This is a busy place, way too busy for tranquility, for my liking. Excellent view from the area behind the Buddha!

My visit to the Big Buddha Temple in Pattaya was an unforgettable experience. The temple's grandeur, combined with its serene ambiance and cultural significance, make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a spiritual retreat or a deeper understanding of Buddhism. Whether you are a devout follower or simply appreciate the beauty of religious architecture, this temple promises a truly enlightening and uplifting experience.

I first went here in 2004 and it looked nothing to how it is today, but I do visit everytime I go to thailand, and its free to get in, it has changed so much these days as its been developed so much, its good for a few hours, but there are nicer temples to be seen around pattaya, like the white temple all inlaid with glass, and inside its floor to ceiling in glass, with a small lake filled with cat fish and turtles, and statues and a massive dragon in the middle, much nicer than the big Bhudda.
