Throughout Thailand it seems that every tour includes a gems gallery on the itinerary. Crowded venue with tourists and the multitude of personal escort salespersons spruiking the virtues of the displays. The initial short tour that covered the discovery, extraction and polishing of the various gems was interesting and then it was off to the cavernous salesroom and the glittering jewellery and accompanied by a shadow carrying a basket. I think that we have visited all of the Galleries now and never made a purchase considering better value elsewhere in the smaller outlets.

When I arrived at the Gallery a coach load of people had just arrived. The parking attendants guided my taxi quickly to the parking spot. I was helped by a staff member so that I was not held up by the coach party. Inside I was helped very patiently by a knowledgable young lady, Tunchanok

I went to the factory in the hope of buying something. But alas, oh! There is a large assortment, but everything is the same type, uninteresting, and overpriced. I’ve been to factories in other countries, but Pattaya loses in all respects. The only thing I liked was the underground train show. Complete disappointment and waste of time.

The gallery itself is impressive, with an extensive collection of exquisite pieces crafted by skilled Thai artisans. We saw how the jewels were made and all the designs were really mesmerising. The staff Mr.Luecha was extremely patient and was kind enough to show us many designs. He understood our interests and helped us select our gems We had a wonderful experience!!

Previously, I bought a sapphire pendant from the gallery, I was pleased with the purchase and the price. I came again to buy earrings with sapphire and an emerald pendant. They gave me certificates for the stones and documents for receiving VAT. Thanks to Nika and Luecha for their help in choosing.

The store/showroom spells elegance and luxury. Initially not part of our plan to purchase but probably because of stores' ambiance and Maris who explained and assisted us through out was one of the reason we got out of the store not empty-handed. She definitely have knows her job.

I only went there as a tourist . Golden rule of buying anything abroad - buy at your own risk - it’s not like “goods can be returned within 14 days with a full refund “. The flights may alone cost you hundreds of pounds depending where you live .

I highly recommend, Noong Nok Gardens they are magical not only for adults, but for children as well.
The Tiffany show is just unbelievable, nd of course not forgetting the new shopping centr, Terminal 21.
There are many things to do do in Pattaya.

Depending on which Hotel you are staying at, if you introduce yourself to the representative at the tour desk ( normally near the foyer) they will arrange a care from the gallery to pick you up, and they also return you to the Hotel.
