I visited this area at 8.30 pm on Friday evening, remembering what great fun ut was in its prepandemic heyday. I was therefore expecting it to pull out all the stips to bring people back to the area. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed.
There were no more than 6 customers in the entire area which I found strange but then realised why when I stopped at one bar for a beer. They charged 130 baht for a small (330 ml) bottle of beer! In comparison, Jomtien Complex, just 3 km down the road was selling one litre pitchers of beer for 170 baht! Furthermore Jomtien Complex was far busier, far more friendly and far more fun!
Boyztown needs to learn lessons from Jomtien Complex and revise its pricing if it ever wants to get people back and be the fun place it was!

I really love Boyztown and the atmosphere there!
Serena is my number one bar, when I visit Boyztown. I love the location in the corner of Everything and the decorations are beautiful.
The only thing there sucks a bit is the taste of music!
I have been visiting Serena for 6 years. I used to love the music in there, but lately they only put their focus on Russian pop music! It’s sounds horrible and makes me think like I am in Russia.
I know the main number of customers in Pattaya are from Russia! But come on, play some international songs in English!
It’s so sad, so please think about the other customers as well, as not all are from Russia.
Otherwise a lovely bar! Just wish it only was Thai and English pop song they played.

We (me and wife) decided to walk pass this area after finishing walking street. The people standing outside the bars and massage joints were pretty aggressive as they grab my wife while asking if we wanted a massage. Never really visit any of the bars as I did not see any heterosexual couples inside. Maybe just a stroll to see what’s its all about and it’s not a very long walk. Maybe 10 to 15 min you will be out of the place.

Not what it used to be. With the exception of Castro Car which has reasonable prices for drinks and good shows, most clubs especially Boyz Boyz Boyz are overpriced. Worth a quick visit, but better offerings are available at the Jomtien Complex Bars, where it is friendlier and plenty on offer. Avoid 3b bar though, where I was ripped off. Belgian owner was disinterested and downright rude

Well Boyztown is no Soho!
If you're visiting Boystown Pattaya for the first time, there are a few things that you need to be aware of, before you enjoy the amazing people and fabulous in bar shows.
The People in the bars are amazing, they will become friends for life, but be careful what you wish for. Unlike MasterCard, most things aren't priceless. As my friend's found money can buy love if only for a couple of nights but you will feel very special.
If like me you're visiting as a couple, it will take few nights for the locals to understand monogamy. Not something that comes naturally in Boyztown. But, once any misunderstandings are sorted you will have an amazing time, with drinks a flowing (Large beer around 180B (£4/$5) including the fabulous shows and a thousand smiles.
For those who are single, the world is your oyster. As I have previously mentioned almost everything is available at a price , but make sure you agree any costs upfront and the management of the bars are aware if your oyster of choice is a member of the bar team.
(Note) Some of the higher star hotels will charge 1000B (£25/$30) for you to take a guest back to your room.
Our bars of choice we Castro (thank you Oil and Birdy) and New Cafe Royal (thank you Beam) - The Managers of these bars will ensure that the holiday is special and memorable.

The problem with Boyztown is that it has become a tourist attraction for non-gays.
There are groups parading down the streets, so that if you’re gay, you feel like an animal in a zoo!
To make things when worse, the iconic gay hotels, like The Ambiance, accept now straight guests who bring their girls friends to the rooms.
The situation would improve, I believe, if the whole area, including the hotels and bars would be off limits to females. Period.
It’s really annoying and uncomfortable sitting in a gay bar there and realising that 30% of the patrons in the room are straight women!
What kind of “Boyztown” is it then?

Although Boyztown does not parallel my lifestyle, I wanted to view the area, like every other nightlife area in the city. After visiting Walking Street, Soi 7, Buokhao, and other nightlife areas, Bozytown was the deadliest area in Pattaya. Even with the number of people there, loud music, bars, and foot traffic, Boyztown lacks energy and excitement.

Many shows and bars to visit, but my favourite is Boyz, Boyz, Boyz. It has been here since Noah built the ark and still have the butchest guys around. Shows have become raunchier lately which was quite a surprise as the past few years it has been very conservative (relatively speaking)

If you like go go boys and bar scene a must visit, I only drink at the bars, can not say anything about the gp go bars, except some of the guys look great

The place is quite the same as is walking Street. The only difference being we found mostly shemales and gays lined up across the bars. Many people still prefer them as well which was evident from the crowd around them.

Hello... What kind of crime have you noticed here in Boyztown?

Boyztown is an L shaped Soi (Block) that is open on both ends. It is one block from the Main Beach Avenue with Police patrols by several different departments. There is a 7-11 store at one end, again frequented by patrols. As with any Vacation venue,Tourists tend to Drink and leave valuables out. I am a retired POand have found that most Thais are more than honest and the merchants have their reputations and honor at stake if they don't make efforts to find the owners or hold onto any miscreants. Don't be overly dressed with valuables
and any worry dissipates. Take just enough cash to make the evening pleasant. ENJOY YOUR STAY-IT IS A BLAST.

The place as greatly gone downhill many places closed Jomtien complex is where people go but be prepared to buy every person working in the bar a drink cos that is what they are after

The Cafe Royal has just reopened and the showbar there is very busy.Oscars is the only place not reopened yet.Boyztown has undergone major upgrade in the last 12 months.
