Do not go here. I am still so mad at myself for paying to attend.
The minute we arrive I saw the elephants looking so exhausted and so sad.
We went on a brief ride in which we were harassed for a tip. We refused and the man rude and obviously p**sed off at us. When we arrived back he spoke to Thai to another worker and the rudeness continued all day.
The crocodile show was horrible. The water is filthy and the crocodiles so drugged up. When they are pushed away from the show the effort they have to make just to get off the platform is heartbreaking. Clearly they have been drugged and abused.
The baby elephant show continued with people being harassed for money. At the end the baby elephant dropped the tip basket as people were feeding him banana and the look on the owners face was priceless. As is to say he was going to pay for dropping the tip basket.
The food was average, the waterfall okay but crowded.
On the way back the driver went past our hotel and didnt stop. He kept us in the car for another 45mins and dropped other passengers off at the cliff top hotel. When we asked he abused us.
And when we finally were the last couple to be dropped off they asked for a tip, which we refused and quickly go out of the car.
Worst day ever! Do not waste your money and support this terrible place. Needs to be shut down.

Animal cruelty alert !!
We came across elephant trekking whilst going to see 'Namuang waterfall' in Ko Samui , Thailand ...I have never seen something so cruel and sad in my life. Stupid tourists riding elephants for a short period of what they call 'fun' whilst being completely unaware of what happens to these poor animals for them to allow humans to ride them!!
As if that wasnt bad enough there was a baby elephant who was being given a hose down by a mahout who was very aggressive towards the baby elephant and then started stabbing him with his sharp pointed spear a lot of times for no reason !!!! This is disgusting and something should be done !! People who pay to ride these elephants are paying towards this kind of treatment to continue happening ... The elephants we came across on the track all had chains tied to their feet and did not look healthy and did not appear to be well looked after !! All the mahouts were carrying spear type weapons on them I now realise this is to beat the elephants when they don't do what they want them to !! Elephants are kept in awful conditions and this should be stopped ASAP!!! I have attached a video of what I caught on film of the mahout today stabbing the baby elephant with the sharp spear as evidence what goes on there !!

I'm currently sat at my hotel bar drinking a glass of red and eating spring rolls reflecting back on what a horrific experience I encountered this morning and after speaking to the bar staff about it and them agreeing on what happens to the creatures on their island I thought I would share it. If I can stop 2 people I would be extremely happy as I paid for me and my wife and they did not refund.
Ok so here it goes...We all love monkeys and elephants right? Especially if your from the U.K. Where the most exotic creature is a emu. So when me and my wife saw a leaflet picturing wild elephants and monkeys with a jungle ride we was all for it.
This is how it happened, you get picked up in a cool safari pick up truck like something from Jurassic Park and then it rapidly goes down hill. Unless of course you enjoy watching 2 monkeys chained at the neck. Riding bikes, praying while people from Eastern Europe laugh and take pictures or elephants in chains doing tricks and being riding like their a ride from Thorpe Park. Seriously it's one on, one off and you que like Disney World. It's seriously messed up and after seeing monkeys performing in chains and being forced to walk past chained elephants to the elephants being endlessly rode we left, there was no way me and my wife could get on such a broken creature. I want to make it clear that I am not a tree hugger and like "save the whales" I understand the world is a messed up place and the poorer the destanition the more people will take advantage of any situation. All I'm trying to do is make you avoid the awkwardness and embarrassment that you will feel for being tricked into paying money to watch such cruelty. I'm not an animal lover, I eat meat and understand the way the world works but this place needs shutting down. It's seriously messed up and just incredibly cruel. I didn't realise monkeys and elephants could show emotion until I saw the years of abuse, exhausting, and just lack of happiness or freedom on their faces.

“This was happening from the beginning of the show.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip4196TZnAU
I started taking a third video but it stopped because we stood up and started to shout to the guy to stop. He wouldn’t and he made it worse, because he stuck that stick in her head, the pointed stuff was stuck in her head. I started to cry, and scream at the man, but the narrator said: ‘When she is bold we have to do this – it is part of the show.’ My boyfriend took me out because I was losing my temper.
“The narrator said that on other occasions the elephant wouldn’t care. And when a kid maybe 5 years old was getting anxious he said ‘sit that kid down or I’ll finish the show right now’. The whole thing was really upsetting.”
“We realized that the one that was in front of us was incredible huge. We asked if she was pregnant because she was moving and walking but she wasn’t doing it normally. It was because she was pregnant and there were two people on top of her …really sad

Unfortunately myself and my partner booked a trip. Part of the trip was to go Elephant riding, which was great and the elephants looked quite happy. But then we saw the horror that was next door, the so a so called "Nurang Sarfari Park". The park consist of monkeys that are chained up and dressed up on a daily basis for human entertainment, they are kept in individual cages with little water and nothing to entertain them. They did look well fed, but i could see the sadness in their eyes.
The worst part of the whole place was the 2x tiger cubs they had in tiny cages, they were charging 100bht for tourist to take pics with them. There was a beautiful Leopard cup too. I asked the staff if these cubs are walked and they said yes after the show only. But i wonder what will happen to them when they grow?....Then i turned my attentions to the far corner of the park of which we were not allowed to visit, in this shocking corner was a beautiful adult tiger and Leopard in cages far too small for there size. The tiger was pacing up and down continually. I asked the staff if this tiger was ever let out to roam around in a bigger area and they said NO.
I have not stopped thinking about these poor animals...why the Thai people think tourist's want to see animals dressed up and in tiny cages confuses me. Everyone i spoke to did not like the show and felt it was cruel...well most people anyway.
What can we do to help these superb creatures?....DON'T pay to go to these places....please consider my commenst b4 booking any trips of this type. This place ruined a big part of my trip and my love for Thailand.

We bought a trip from one of the travel agents in Koh Samui and the animal park on the face of it seemed quite a humane park. However once we got there we found elephants in chains kept in small enclosures with no room to turn around, lined up ready to take people on elephant rides like machines. It was heartbreaking these are wild animals.
The elephant show was not nice to watch, it involved the elephants doing tricks and if they did not co-operate they get beaten.
The worst part of the whole experience was the crocodile show. This involved 3 crocodiles being dragged around by their tales and aggravated by 2 men. They put their hands down their throats and head in their mouths. It was clear the crocodiles were highly drugged as they showed no reaction when the men opened their mouths and did not even attempt to close them. They stayed in the same position for the whole show, it was unbelievably sad to see. This needs to be stopped, they are wild creatures and quite frankly I do not see how that is amusement.

Do not go here. So far the worst experience in Ko Samui. Sure go to support the animals that are their if you choose. But when you go you'll feel that the place is run down and that the animals are under fed. We got a photo with a baby tiger cub and the poor thing was so hungry he was crying when they fed him milk. After our 20 second photo and touch, he went back in the cage and was crying again. We felt so bad afterwards my wife started to cry. Do yourselves a favour and don't go here.

My husband I planned to visit the waterfall but didn't realize that this attraction was attached in some way. Walked in to see a large tiger chained up clearly sedated (teeth & claws removed), a 2 month old baby walking around (and chained up minutes later) and a leopard chained up and showing such obvious signs of distress it was disturbing (pacing in circles) They are here for photos & when I told the guy I would not support this type of attraction because of the welfare of animals, He sadly nodded his head & appeared to agree with me.
He told us the baby has come from southern Thailand and it has a life ahead of being chained up for a minimum of six hours a day, caged for the rest and being drugged solely for the entertainment of stupid tourists. The thought broke my heart.
We had only planned to visit the waterfall but so as to make sure not a single cent of our money went towards supporting this obvious and sickening cruelty, we turned around and went straight back to the car park.
I was so upset by what I saw that I found myself in floods of tears and feel sick about it. I was loving Koh Samui until this point but will reconsider visiting again because this cruelty is supported by the island and government.
Tourists, I plead with you, do no support animal cruelty by visiting these places. Admire these beautiful creatures from afar and allow them the dignity to live a free life, or at least one in a sanctuary or somewhere they are loved and protected from cruel humans only out for monetary gain. (there are some amazing elephant sanctuarys in Northern Thailand - visit those, do not ride in a basket on their backs, they are beat into submission to allow that along with the tricks).
As long as unsuspecting people continue to visit these abhorrent places they will continue to exist. Ask yourself, is a few minutes entertainment worth a lifetime of suffering for these beautiful creatures. I believe (and hope) that most decent people would not knowingly support this and I hope with all heart that this post may make you think twice.

I can't understand why people who like animals don't question this sort of place before coming. We ended up here by accident on an island tour that wasn't supposed to include animal shows.
The elephants we saw were both chained by one foot to something In the ground with only a meter to move. One of the elephants was incredibly young too.
Is this entertaining?? Absolutely not. Don't go if you have an ounce of compassion. This place should be shut down & the animals sent to a decent wildlife sanctuary. Very sad to see.

We were absolutely disgusted with this attraction. We were taken there as part of an eco safari tour run by the Mr Ung's tour company. We were unaware that it was part of the tour as the itinerary only indicated that elephant trekking was included. Well we got to ride on the elephants, and then we were dumped at the zoo attached to it for almost 2 hrs.
It was one of the worst experiences and the only real disappointment we had on an otherwise wonderful holiday. The enclosures are tiny and poorly maintained and the animals are made to perform unnatural tricks. This includes a baby elephant being made to strain so badly that it deficated, performers pulling money out of croc's mouths and monkeys dressed in costumes with their faces covered in make up (it's that bad).
PLEASE do not support this abomination. Avoid this tour, and do not encourage this terrible treatment of animals.
