Located in the heart of Chiang Mai's moated core is Pranom's Health Massage shop. Stroll around this small park's perimeter path near Wawee Coffee and you will see the shop. The open front of the shop will reveal busy masseuse working with their clients . The displayed tariffs show the various massages offered at very reasonable prices e.g Thai Traditional Massage for one hour - 150 thb. It can serve up to 12 clients at any one time so you shouldn't have to wait long to be served.

So I'm a physiotherapist. . . . which means I have a great deal of knowledge about the body and massage techniques and other techniques relating myofacial release, trigger points, therapeutic stretching, mobilising the neural interphases across the body etc. I also know a bit about other alternative medicine options such as craniosacral therapy, reflexology etc. I'm telling you this because the girl that I had, Boom (not sure about the spelling) was absolutely amazing and better than any physiotherapist I've ever come across and her skills seemed to encompass all of the western fragmented skillsets that I've mentioned above, all in one. She did not speak english, so I could not explain to her the medical history and spots that I knew needed more work than others due to past injuries. But without telling her about these beforehand, her hands seemed to pick it up and she knew exactly where to linger a bit longer on the exact trigger points and nerve interphases which tends to get problematic at times. Her hands and ability to feel is far more developed than anyone I've ever met. I've asked for the stretches to be gentle, as they can be quite harsh. And she did an amazing job of it. I was extremely impressed by her, even more so as I assume she did not spend 8 years training like chiropractors does, or 4 years like physiotherapists does. But she knew what to do. 10 out of 5 for this girl! Thank you a million thank yous!

Pranom is located in a small strip mall near Tha Phae Gate in the Old City. A one hour foot massage will set you back $US 6 and it was well worth our time - highly recommend!

My partner and I were looking for a massage place after sightseeing and we stumbled across this one. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Both of us are physiotherapists back in the UK and we thought the massage was very professional and used great techniques. We will definitely be back!

I went there twice, once for a full body oil massage and a second time for a foot massage (reflexology). Both where extremely well done. The place is clean and quiet, very good for a relaxing massage. I couldn't recommande a better place for a real massage. Plus the price is alright : 180 bath the foot massage and 300 baht for an oil massage. Really worthy!

Best massage I've ever gotten was from this young beautiful Thai women. She is small but powerful and she enjoys giving massages. Her name is Woo and she destroyed all the knots that accumulated From riding a junky trek mountain bike up doi suthep in 100 degree heat today. Will go back tomorrow and probably everyday that I'm still in chiang mai. Gave her a nice tip because of the passion and care that she illustrated after I asked for a strong massage.

I overused Pranom's services during my stay in Chiangmai, and I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere is quiet and professional, the masseuses are concentrated on their work.
The massages are always perfectly executed, no sloppiness here. There are no reservations, so expect to wait a bit when it's rush hour. I like having late evening massages, so I rarely encountered any queue.
The prices are standard, and you can trust you'll have a good experience by going to Pranom.
Tip: you should ask for 30 mins of foot massage, then 30 mins of neck & shoulder. It's the perfect mix for me!

The place is clean and the seats are comfortable. The masseuses are really professional, they know exactly where to press and linger, it's very soothing. Really good price too. Highly recommended.

An excellent Thai massage. Not only was the massage amazing but at only 180 baht for an hour it is cheaper than many of the other places.
I would highly recommend this place as it has given us the best Thai massage yet!
