A great location for a low level hike. Has 10 levels and just the last 2-3 needed a bit more intensity for those stairs. My teens really enjoyed themselves. Plenty of places to put the feet in. All kinds of insects along the way. Wheelchair accessible for the first few viewing levels!

10 waterfalls to see, some wonderful, some not so amazing. Lots of areas to sit and have a relax or picnic. Lovely woodlands around it. Can swim in some of the pools but not all, follow the signs. Not ideal for those who are unsteady on their feet or unfit. Some areas are quite steep, narrow or uneven. Cafe was closed when we were there but we had brought water and snacks with us.

1. Red pickup track to there costs 600-800 BHT
2. Admission fee is another 100 BHT per person
3. The waterfalls are actually 10 waterfalls with platforms to see each one
4. There is a pavement way to reach the top.
5. It about 1 hour to the top
6. You can swim in the pools along side the waterfall.
7. Most if the walk are in the shade
8. There are convenient stores in the beginning
9. Try to add additional attractions to the trip - the area is full with them and the pickup price is fix for the entire trip
10. Enjoy

We rented motorbikes and hit the road (using the free app "maps.me" for offline navigational maps), we got there in less than 20 minutes, we parked in the car park #3, the water falls are very accessible (not for wheelchairs), the "track" is made of concrete with steps, you can easily reach the first 7 levels in no time, the next ones are as easy.

Level 10 was reached very quick, if you are adventurous you can continue (just go under the fallen bamboo trees) after the track is finished over the rocks along the river.

we had a dip in the water and it was refreshing. After leaving the water fall we hit the road again to the Chiang Dao caves that are 60 km further north, the road was in perfect condition almost straight line-double lane road, the only 1k contains curves but the road is wide and driving is easy.
Don't spect a long trek to the top of the waterfalls.
Fees are 100 TBH per person and 20 TBH for each motorbike. food, water and drinks are available at carpark #3, they even provide picknic basket to take the food up the waterfalls.

If you want to get into the water, bring a swim suit or change of cloths also. Yes you can get into the water, this isn't a normal kinda park or trail. I'd say if you want a real challenge, start with parking lot 1 and go from there. The trail splits so you can choose left or right, I'd say either way go back the other. This is truly "off road", there will be mostly no road, path, wood, etc. You'll be walking on dirt, rocks, leaves and roots. So have good shoes, bring sandals if you want to go into the water. There was a few places they let you swim but there will not be any lifeguards or etc, so caution!

As for swimming I didn't get it but you can. You can basically climb all over the rocks and waterfalls here to get your Instagram shots. However I'd advice CAUTION! You are FAR from a hospital, ;) be safe.

It's beautiful and has many good spots for photos, follow the signs the path sometimes will look like it ends, it only stops at the top which I think was 10? You'll know as the waterfall will be very steep and no clear way to go up farther.

By parking lot 3 if you pass on the way or down (like we did) there are some shops for food, water and a bathroom.

This waterfall has 10 levels. You have to walk above lavel 5 to get a good view of the fall. We visited the fall in October which was the end of rainy season in Thailand so there was still lot of water. The right sided route along the fall is easy to walk and surrounded with relatively grown trees, while the left side is not a good walking trail. Visitors should park the car at parking lot no. 3 which is located in front of the trail to the fall. We parked at the parking lot 1 by mistake (I didn't see map of it) and walked along the left sided trail, which is not beautiful, so be aware of it. The water is not deep enough to swim but you can sit peacefully there and enjoy the cool environment.

There is a fee for visitors (20 THB for Thais, 100 THB for foreigner and 30 THB for the car).

My German friends gave it the score of 7. You can visit this waterfall the same day as the elephant visit.

The waterfalls were beautiful, not breathtaking views but definitely worth a visit. The hike is moderate and mostly pathed, easy to follow. Until you reach a point, where you come across a path going forward or a route highlighted to you with signs that steers off to the right through some trees. DO NOT follow the signs!!! We spent 45 minutes following these signs through what can only be described as a combination of a rubbish tip and pig farm! We asked several locals along the way who pointed us continually along the marked route. I’m not sure if this was another hike or just a random route, but it certainly did not head to any waterfalls!
We took a dip in the final waterfall... once we finally found it! Which was wonderful after all that hiking.
The photos attached show the x and the wrong route.... follow the x!!

We paid for a taxi 1200 baht from our hotel in Old Chiang Mai to take us to the waterfalls and also a trip to PooPoo land :) The waterfalls were a great way to spend an afternoon of seeing the outdoors and the water was quite cool for a swim. Fairly easy walk for children between the ages of 10 and 13. PooPoo land was a bit of fun and quite interesting stopover. 100 baht per person entry for both places. Approx 3 hrs round trip.

The waterfall is not high at all. It is like water cascading down the rocks. I went here when I was visiting Mom Cham and Elephant PooPooPaper Park. It is also located near Queen sirikit gardens. You can plan your itinerary in this way: Queen sirikit gardens --> Mom Cham (eat lunch here) --> Mae Sa Waterfall --> Elephant PooPooPaper Park
