There are several levels to this waterfall which is popular for families with small children who can splash in the shallow pools. If you're feeling adventurous, you can make your way to the top. On public holidays, the place is packed. If you want a quiet day out, mid-week or off-season is best.

Only a small fee to enter. There is 11 points of the waterfall you can walk too. A fun day out and a good way to call off whilst trekking

Got a tuk tuk which took us here, I did not want to leave!!! It was just a beautiful peaceful place. The water was cold but we got under that fall and loved every minute of that freezing water. Loved the trails and the scenery, will highly recommend it, cant wait to revisit.

We went there one afternoon by scooter (which is a great way to get around Chiang Mai). The waterfalls were very nice. We were there in March so the waterfalls were not as spectacular as they would be in the rainy season however still a nice hike up to see the 6 or 8 waterfalls along a path. Had some... More

It could be nice if it wasn't so crowded. It's mainly popular for picnic for Thai people which is interesting to see for a few minutes but then it gets boring with all the noice. I wouldn't recommend it.

The Mae Sa Waterfall is actually a series of waterfalls with paths that you can hike through the forest (or you can drive to various levels by car). We took a picnic lunch and enjoyed it in a sala by the creek before trekking. There are several good places for wading. There is also an area with food and small... More

We had booked a two day trekking trip and this place was part of the stop. It's pretty relaxing and some of our group went for a swim in the falls.

It was little more than a trickle, we climbed the rocks and imagined what it would look like with water. Apparently early in the season it is spectacular
