Leave from the jetty at Wat Chai Mongkol and travel north out of the city. The river soon shows its true rural identity as city bridges pass from view and are replaced by scenes of wide water stretching from green tree-lined bank to bank. Kids play, daring each other to swing through an old motor tyre and plunge into the cool river below.Smiles,Yells,And the boat chugs on to reach its destination point, the "Thai Farmer's house "Agriculture remains Thailand's largest source of income and here the vistor can discover the basic elements-rice local herbs, fruits,fishing-all thriving in a chemical-free environment.

Went on my own as husband was fishing. Nice river trip, stopped for lunch at farmers house, fish or chicken curry and fresh pineapple and Melon. Small museum inside. Clean toilets. Nice ride back.

Nice to get away for a couple of free hours cruising the Ping River. Pick up and drop off from your hotel. Cruise to herb garden and a lovely refreshing juice and fresh fruit. A delightful peaceful area.

Didn't feel like there was a whole lot to see on this muddy river cruise. Could understand the enthusiastic guide very well. Not a lot to see at the farmer's house. Did enjoy the drink.
