About
This outdoor market is one of Bangkok's famous night markets, known for its rows upon rows of colorful tents. Here, you can check out vintage gift shops, cool bars, and other interesting locals selling clothes, accessories, and home decor. And who can forget the food? Savor authentic Thai street food like grilled skewers, fried seafood, crepes, and even fried insects, if you're feeling brave. To snap a photo of the iconic tents from above, head up to the parking house nearby. Explore the rest of Bangkok on a food or night tour, which often includes this market as a stop. – Tripadvisor

Nice market but not a lot of stalls were open on a weekday (Thursday). Food was nice.
Kind of annoying that there are pushy people trying to drag you into their restaurant.
Nice atmosphere in the seating area in front of the market.

COVID clearly had an impact. The entrance to the marketplace sets high expectations, but it turns out to be quite underwhelming. The food stalls all offer identical menus, with each vendor eagerly trying to attract customers, but there's no variety in either the dishes or prices. Judging from past photos, it seems the market is now just a fraction of its former self. Instead, I'd suggest visiting Jodd Fair nearby. It's truly remarkable and offers a much broader selection of choices.

This is not the Train Night Market anymore. The Owner changed and too many shops left that market. The only Train Night Market left in Bangkok is the Train Night Market at Srinagarinda Road. This is the biggest Night Market in Thailand.

I went there on a late Sunday evening hoping to see the night market and colorful tent canopy (I always wanted to go here because it was one of the scenes in the Bangkok track from Mario Kart). Unfortunately, the market had many empty stalls and there was no color. Apparently the main image was taken several years ago and the market has changed considerably for the worse since. I didn’t even bother to look around as there was very little to see.

The market was quiet and is quite small with quite a few empty stalls. Especially if you are looking for food there are not many stalls to choose from. We arrived at 8pm and were followed and shouted at by at least 5 people holding large menues for their sit down food area. Honestly it was quite uncomfortable.
Give this market a miss - so many better ones in Bangkok!

Worst market experience of the bunch (joddfair, srinagarindra, chatuchak)

This night market have lots of empty stalls especially towards the back. Does not have the night market atmosphere. Stalls are mediocre and definitely not a must-come. Prices are higher than chatuchak in comparison. Might not visit again next time

Really enjoyed this - a big and thriving night market. Well worth a visit. It’s not what I’d call a pure locals market - for example you could buy your meat and veggies there - but does offer up a good selection of food and beverages, and lots of stalls selling well produced and interesting items. It’s not your second hand or touristy tat you see elsewhere (e.g. Patpong, or floating markets).

We were there with our 10 yo, from approx 7.30pm until 10.00pm. Felt very safe, she loved it. It was busy with a good mix of locals and foreigners, young and old , and offered us a much more fun night that we would have had by going to a restaurant or staying in the hotel 😀 🇹🇭🙏

I love it here - huge variety of food, drink, bars, restaurants, stalls, shops. There is a huge variety here with very tasty food. All is for great value too! Highly recommended coming here during a trip to Bangkok. Can be easily accessed by MRT (Thailand Cultural Central) or by taxi.
