The statue is definitely impressive and the Wat is good to see but it is not a must for me (the Emerald Buddha and the Reclining Buddha are ahead on the priority list). Be careful concerning transportation. We paid to see the Emerald Buddha and...More

A wonderful wat just north of Khao San road. The standing Buddha is of course the highlight, and the rest of the grounds are lovely. No entrance fee. Check it out!

This Buddha is enormous! It is very beautiful although there were tents up that took away from it a little bit. I still would recommend to other travelers!! It is free as well

Size does matter. You can see the giant statute miles away. But perhaps the more interesting ones are those smaller with exquisite details surrounding this temple. See those cremation storage boxes? You can write down your wishes and blessings after your generous donation to the...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,
it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn
the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and
most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to
this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
