This Central Chitlom is really nice dept. store, size is not small and not too big. The newly renovated Central Foodhall is so good too, especially the Cooking service station that serve for everything you buy there.

A nice mall/dept store selling branded and high end items. The outside is still under renovation but the inside boasts luxury and elegance. This is where we got our son’s sought after toy after going around different malls around bangkok. We also scored some shirts and shoes from the mid year sale. Very nice place to shop in and the staff are awesome.

Stop going to those messy Fashion Platinum Mall, pay abit more for something worthy of your money...It s a SAKS lookalike, spoilt with choices, yet with affordaable pricce

It has quite a no. of japanese products and clothings (like from Roppongi), it even has China's Suzhou designer, Croquis 速写!Amazing, indded! international fashion from all over the world, not about those usual boring international labels which is duplicated everywhere like Singapore...

The Food Loft (higher class foodcourt with very cheap and reasonable price) located at the highest floor offers a huge variety of local and international choices, which boasts a magnificient city view at the window seats!

It has other restaurants like Japanese restaurant too on other level....

On a personal note, its service is better than at Siam Paragon...

I already went last year and spent a lot of money, and the lady cheat me.
I was in a hurry and I bought a lot of expensive shell and mother pearl table accessories.

My wife asked for new ones and they gave us a lot of coasters and place mat defective and ugly.

This year we made mistake to go again and yesterday my wife went alone, they did not pass the 1 card and I lost a lot of money on discount.

Today while I am writing I am waiting for her at the restaurant with my daughter because she is still waiting for almost one hour in tax refund department because they made a mistake in filling the form.

I love Thailand and Bangkok, where I have been about 100 times, but so many things in one time never happened in my whole life.

I will stay in Bangkok till Sunday, I discourage everyone to step into that department store and as well I will inform all my Thai friends and acknowledged people of what is happening there

Outrageous

Air conditioned shoppers paradise! Shoppers come from all over Asia, even Singapore, to shop here. Arranged over several floors and the size of a city block, are every designer outlet you can imagine, together with appropriately spaced coffee shops and snack stalls. In the basement are fresh produce market style stalls to provide respite and to keep you on your feet. As you go up the levels you find shoe stores, women's fashion, men's fashion, level upon level, oh what bliss! I found shoe shops with the very latest European styles at every glance. European sizes are stocked. The serious Shopping Tourists don't want to hang out in Chatachuck Market or the nearby Pratunam Market. They don't want to sift through acres or piles of cheap fashion. They want boutiques, they want labels, they have money and they want to spend it. They also want their tax refunds, that too has been organized. If you want a bit of local ambiance, then along the street outside the Centre is a food stall strip with every imaginable dish on offer. Local office workers have lunch here, it is mainly locals who eat here. I like to photograph around these types of street stalls because of the colours the dishes and the enthusiatic locals. Also nearby is a station for the Sky Train, a Water Taxi Wharf, the Pratunam Market, the Electronic Market. It is all here! Take your camera. Take your plastic card. And have fun.

A good place to shop in Bangkok. Ladies, children and gents, all are available. A wide variety of clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. Prices, medium, quality, pretty good. If you are lucky, you can also find a sale on their 3rd floor hall. wide range of reasonable items are normally available. On the 7th floor, the food loft is also very interesting. A variety of stalls offering cuisine from all over the world. Also a direct access from the BTS skytrain. Overall a good place to visit.

Yes, the store is big and it has a few upscale brands, but the staff is a disapointment. They are basically kids who have very little retail experience. For example I asked a salesperson who had been examining her face in a mirror where the lingerie department was. The girl had no clue what I was talking about. She disappeared to ask someone else who also did not know. They only know the Thai words for clothing. When we went to the department each staff only knows there little assigned area and not the entirer department. So you have to wander around looking and asking. I overheard another customer trying to ask for details about a shirt. The salesperson had no clue. The store pretends to be hi-so, but as with many things in LOS it is just a wannabe.

I haven’t the slightest idea how this department store can stay in business with such inflated prices, limited selection, and unbelievably PASSIVE and UNHELPFUL staff.

Who would come to Bangkok and expect such poor service and want to spend 10 times the typical prices in New York and Paris???

It's always my curiosity to check out the supermarkets in another country. As part of my trip to Bangkok, I did check out several of them and the one at Central Chidlom stood out!! You can find practically anything in this supermarket, from a bar of Egyptian soap to the rarest truffle oil, imported from somewhere in Europe! Not only that, everything is laid out in a perfect manner thereby making it so easy to browse. Unlike other supermarkets, I was able to browse quietly on my own without being watched every move like the supermarket at the Emquartier.
