I enjoy the local vibe at this relaxing patch of green. In the mornings, you would see locals and tourists alike doing yoga, meditation, and other exercises. In the afternoon, kids would be playing and flying kites. A pagoda is located at the center of this park. It is near Phra Arthit pier, where you can catch a boat going... More

It's a much needed welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok but it's really nothing to rave about. Certainly very disappointing in comparison to other beautiful parks around the world plus it's tiny so don't expect too much. However it's better than nothing so I'm grateful it exists. I was a bit annoyed when security guards came to... More

This is the one park I keep coming back to, for the panoramic river view of the Chao Phraya; the cooling breeze; the soothing sound of the surf; the shady spots under the trees for reading, meditating or simply BE...

We were here during one of the most picturesque festivals in Bangkok, which is the evening of Loy Krathong, when people gather around lakes, rivers and canals to pay respects to the goddess of water by releasing beautiful lotus shaped rafts, decorated with candles, incense and flowers onto the water. This to celebrate the end of the bountiful rice harvest... More

This public park is located in the area of Bangkok's old city and is within a short walking distance from Khao San Road. Offering great view of Rama VIII Bridge and the Chao Phraya River, this green space is a sweet spot for those looking to unwind in a natural, historical and cultural settings. Phra Sumen Fort and the Thai... More

A park around the city banks, next to the old city fortifications, On weekends, street buskers and musicians meet here to practice and entertain. A good spot to enjoy sunset, it fills up in the evenings with families and city dwellers.

Pass by the area. Not so big. Can walk around 10 minutes to finish. Coincidentally see this park since it just besides the river. Have some kind of monuments with big gun. Walking distance from khao san road.

We ran into that park (or green area) accidentally after wandering through the Khao San Road (which is surely not my cup of tea, by the way). I just saw the Phra Sumen Fort on my tourist map and we decided to go. This park is very good to be visited in the evening for watching the sunset over Chao... More

Quaint little park on the Chao phraya river. Next to Phra Sumen Fort it has some shade trees and benches to relax and enjoy. Not far from KSR its a nice place to take a quiet break. No smoking or alcoholic beverages.

Santichaiprakan Park is the small grassy area around Phra Sumen Fort, found just off Phra Athit Road that is a decent place to catch a break from the sun and heat. In addition to the small 18th century fort, there is a small pavilion here and we 've enjoyed watching locals fish in the Chao Phraya at the park as... More
