As other reviewers say, this is a good service, away from the traffic of the roads so you are not stuck in fumes in either a car, tuk tuk or taxi. When you get to know where you want to go and there is a...More

If a ride on a Klong boat doesn’t wake you up, nothing will! I’ve used this canal boat service countless times over the years and while it is definitely not for everyone (read: young children, people with mobility issues), if you’ve got a sense of...More

A nice alternative to the river boats if you want to see how the locals get around. It can get really choppy and the boats are low so you can get easily splashed, not to any extreme but as the water is not clean some...More

I have used the local canal service years ago and it still operates...east to west with interchange at Pratunam to use full length. These boats are crowded with locals and you pay the helmet wearing on board conductor per sector travelled for each trip. 20bht...More

We were staying in Praturam, and wanted to experience the canal. It goes as far as the Golden Mount, but Khao San Road is walkable from there, and this is the best way to travel there from the centre of town. Good experience, a bit...More

This is the local canal taxi service mainly used by the locals for fast commuting. Tourists can also use them to save time and money. We traveled to a few stops near Pratunam pier for the experience. Its fast and convenient and helps beat the...More

We picked up the canal boat at the end of our road to get from the hotel to the Jim Thompson House. Fast and chaotic but very interesting. Mostly locals. Interesting sights along the banks. At the Pratunan station. Every one gets off and another...More

We have used this a few times on our visits to Bangkok. Especially from Central to Golden Mount. Cheap and quick, we paid 11 baht each. Im not sure why people use the tourist boat even though you get a day pass for 200 baht....More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,
it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn
the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and
most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to
this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around

It's depending on how long you have to wait for the boat, but with easygoing you should make it within 20-30 minutes including the change of boat at Pratunam Pier, the crowd will guide you. Just beware that the boats can be... More

Yes, you can use that boat. At Pratunam you have to change the boats, because it stops there.
