Chin was incredible and took our party of four at the very last minute. We got in around midnight the night before, shot her an email and received word that we would be able to make the 9 o'clock tour the next day. The tour was amazing and took us through markets we wouldn't have found otherwise and had us... More

This great trip was the highlight of my trip to Bangkok. The tour felt like you got to fit into the city, not just intrude as a tourist. Not to be missed.

During a fantastic trip to Bangkok, our two favourite days were unquestionably the ones we spent with Chin. We did two day tours, the Bangkok Food and Culture Walk and the Countryside Cooking Class, and both were incredible experiences. Chin is a great host, and as you walk through the markets you can see what a wonderful relationship she has... More

We had a relaxing, informative and delicious day. Chin is a relaxed, lovely guide. She was organized, communicated well and made sure our day went smoothly. We saw some things we would never have seen otherwise.

We had 2 private tours with Chin. The first was an evening discovery of Bangkok food. We were 6 people distributed in 3 tuk tuks. We tasted great and typical food in places where we would never find/stop by ourselves. We also visited temple at night, amazing. The second was Tha Kha floating market and Amphawa. A nice van came... More

My fiance and I took a tour of the floating markets with Chin and cannot recommend it highly enough. Chin was an amazing guide whose humor and easygoing demeanor was only surpassed by the amount of amazing food that she made sure we ate at the markets. Every meal we tried was better than the last. My only word of... More

I enjoyed every minute of this tour and can highly recommend it. Besides of the really great, great food that was offered during the tour- try to skip breakfast the day you'll make the tour or better dinner the day before ;) - I really loved the way Chin interacted with all the people we met on the tour, the... We thoroughly recommend Chen who gave us a real insight into Thai food including visiting the countryside. She really knows the right places to go.

We had a great time on a private tour with Chin. There was no shortage of food to be tried and Chin was very attentive to our interests -- if we wanted to try this dish or that, she knew where to go and we went. We ate fresh fruits, laab, curries, soups, ice cream, sticky rice desserts, pad thai,... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
