Pricey by Bangkok standards but something to tick off the bucket list when in Bangkok. Views are spectacular and it was relatively easy to get a seat for the 4 of us. You need to book for the restaurant (Vertigo) but not the bar. Dress is smart casual but not over the top - smart jeans were fine. Not really... More

Not touristy which is a plus. Atop the banyan Tree hotel, this bar just oozes cool. Not as high as Sirocco, but just as good views. Excellent cocktail and great tunes playing. Easy to talk and just hang out. We came at dusk and saw the night arrive. More bar areas one level below the roof too - in case... More

Pretty good place for evening drinks. Not near as crowded as sky bar (at least at 7pm on a Monday in March)...people were actually drinking there instead of taking group photos and selfies. Cocktails are still in the $20 range but beer is available at half that. Dress code strictly enforced...no flip flops or sneakers, guys must wear pants and... More

The views over the city at sunset are absolutely amazing and so are the cocktails! Try a Vertigo Sunset. I'd recommend getting there early so you can see the sunset and get a table as it gets busy!

Pre dinner drinks to celebrate a birthday. View was fantastic but it was ridiculous to try and find a place to stand let alone sit. It was like a cattle market and with the exorbitant prices charged for our drinks, there are much more enjoyable placesto have a pleasant drink, like the Dome. Not a place I would recommend.

We were lucky enough to be staying at the Banyan Tree so visited the Moon Bar three times. It is quite simply stunning - open air bar up 61 floors overlooking the city. Prices are quite steep but I guess you are paying for the ambience & the view!! Definitely worth a visit!!

Went out on the first night in Bangkok. You clearly pay the premium for the location-4 not too extravagant drinks(3 cocktails and 1 GnT) and had to cough up over 2500BHT-simiraly expensive to London's prime bars with the views which are probably more impressive during the day rather than on hazy evening. There are definitely better places to spend your... More

The Moon Bar offers an awesome view over Bangkok. Cocktails are good, however on a rather high price level. Anyway, the amazing 360-view over Bangkok is worth it! Mind the dress code.

Yes, it was a pleasure, to celebrate my small 60th birthdinner, just very private - great atmosphere, which we know before, prices are high, but its clear for this quality and location, thats the same all-over-the-world for this standard - you know it before and you choose it ! And you get it, great service, great food - soft music,... More

We came to the moon bar before waiting to be picked up for a dinner cruise. It is very upmarket, however there were no restrictions on how many were allowed up. It was a bit like a cattle market, having to shimmy past people to try get a picture of the view. The views were great, but we didn't enjoy... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
