The Chao Phraya boats are a great way to get around in the city. They can drop you off at some popular site seeing places. And unlike the Get On/Get Off Tourist Boats that cost about $5 per day, these cost about 15 cents each...More

I used all day tickets in combination with skytrain on several days. Much easier to access many sites and monuments from this way than the street. Excellent boats & helpful staff.

Nice way to get around and see some of the main attractions. It costs only 150 baht for unlimited use during 1 day. You can buy tickets on board and it's a good way to avoid Bangkok traffic.

Ideal for budget conscious and first-time travelers. For only 180 baht per person (per day basis) enjoy the unlimited "hop on and hop off the boat" of your preferred destination with your friends, families or special someone. It comes with a blue mini tour booklet...More

Smart but crowded, be careful not to mistake the express boat with the tourists boat, they stop at the same place and local ticket sellers try to mismatch them as ordinary ticket. Look for the orange (flag) line boat not the blue line, it is...More

Loved this little "hop on hop off" type service. Great way to see all of the major Bangkok sites while riding the river. I recommend stopping in China town.

There is 4 types of boats, some of them are not stopping at every pier so check beforehand (all informations are available at piers). You won't reach all parts of Bangkok by the river, but its definitely a great way - fast, refreshing and with...More

Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is
Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During
the day, the main street and its small alleyways are
filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and
flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and
all-day markets. The real action, however, happens
after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and
tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast

Hi Brisbane P, Definitely by taxi. Express boat would be very stressful as it is a commuter service, meaning mostly crowded and only hesitates at stops.

It is not a tour. It is public transportation along the river. See my TA review for information concerning the stopspiers for the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Chinatown & more
