Great food, great sights and good entertainment on board - We made sure we had air con dining, and it was a wide choice...a good tip to remember

My family and I recently enjoyed a most memorable river cruise experience on-board one of the luxurious boats from the X2 River Cruise. A trip to the Thai capital is never complete without venturing into the busy Chao Phraya river passing a host of the most fascinating iconic landmarks - the majestic Wat Arun, along with the Grand Palace. Whilst there are many river cruises to choose from, we were exceedingly pleased that we could discover the interesting riverside life through our fully hosted stylish sightseeing experience.

The personalised cruise tour employs a flexibility that we appreciated because we were allowed a comfortable pace to admire and take in the intimate life of the small but lively communities who live by the canal - old wooden homes on stilts, children playing in the water who were more than eager and happy to wave us a good hello. Such old world charm! Such simplicity yet so much happiness.

Thumbs up to the fun wholesome activities arranged for our family, including feeding the fishes which had our children gobsmacked to see the feeding frenzy that unfolded before their eyes. And the cruise brought us to what has now come to be a must-stop in my list for a delightful Thai lunch - The Never Ending Summer. And a befitting name indeed! A charming restaurant converted from an old warehouse by the river, giving it a warm and rustic feeling that sets the mood right for us to enjoy our delicious meal in all its comfort.

Absolutely a nice way to enjoy the sunset along the celebrated Chaopraya River. Totally different from the big boats cruising the river, X2 provided an amazing and funny experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive and made the trip more enjoyable. I will definitely choose them on my next River trip!

We really had a good time. The champagne was really good. The servant was really friendly, funny and took care of us very well.
The view of Bangkok of the night time was really beautiful and romantic.
I would recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok.

Recently enjoyed a wonderful cruise aboard the X2 on the Chao Phraya. The entire experience is very bespoke, from the individual check-in at Saphan Taksin Pier, to the amazing Italian-designed & inspired boat, to the excellent and very personal onboard staff - it is certainly a world away from the smelly & loud mass-market boats that operate on the River, and we loved every moment of it!
We enjoyed a few hours cruising a combination of the main section of the River, and some of the smaller and very interesting canals that feed into the Chao Phraya. You get the chance to see many of the main sights along the riverside (hotels, temples, markets) before you slow the pace in the quieter, tranquil canals beside the main river. It really provides an insight into the mixture of the modern and developed Chao Phraya, and the quieter, historical local communities that surround it.
The X2 boat certainly turns many heads as you cruise around (attracting a lot of waving from the local residents!), and the cruising is done in utmost comfort, with attentive staff providing bottled water, music, and guidance as you take in the sights. We will certainly consider the "Sunset Cruise" option for our next special occasion or when very special guests are in town!
After trying a number of (risky & uncomfortable) long-tails and large-scale (& stuffy) dinner cruise options in the past, we would certainly recommend the X2 River Cruise experience to anyone seeking a more comfortable and personable experience of cruising the Chao Phraya.

When travelling to Bangkok with our young girls we went on a River Cruise up the Chao Phraya river with X2 River Cruises, what an amazing experience. The staff were really friendly and informative, they went out of their way to help us with our girls. The boat was comfortable and we had a relaxing Sunday afternoon cruise, exploring the river sites of Bangkok. We would highly recommend this cruise to anyone wanting to explore the rivers of Bangkok. We will definitely be adding this to our list next time we visit Bangkok.

No trip to BKK is complete without seeing the city from the river. I have tried many boats, from long tail tourist boats to the large Shangri-la. Nothing compares to the 5 Star, personal and unique experience of yachting on the river. I wanted to do something special for my clients and X2 delivered. They arranged special catering and wines, the captain and crew were polite, spoke english and the yacht was immaculate. Needless to say this is a must do now for any clients or guests visiting me in Bangkok. Thanks X2!

For any tourist or local wanting to experience the truly amazing Chao Phraya river in Bangkok, book a ride on this boat, its super cool, very comfortable and the trip up the river was just awesome. Easy pick up at Saphan Taksin pier (BTS 5 minutes walk). Staff easy to deal with and super easy with kids. Highly recommended !
