Ko Kret offers a concrete path that circles the island and therefore it is easy to visit and get a good glimpse of how people live there. As soon as you get away from the pier area which is cluttered with stalls selling food and...More

This place is a bit off the beaten path of the foreign tourists. It is a temple on a large island which is an enjoyable stop. I was the only non Asian on the island for my two hour stop. As always you are made...More

It's quite interesting if you'd like to see how Thai local people live on an island. You need to cross the river to reach this small crowded island with just THB 2 per trip. The path on this island is quite narrow to walk pass...More

Something of an effort to get here but well worth the relaxed trip. First the river bus from the Royal Palace jetty to Nothanburi takes around 40 minutes (14 baht) then a 15 minute taxi drive to the temple landing stage to get the two...More

Great day out. We had heard about Ko Kret and decided it was worth a visit and we were not disappointed. We looked at different transport options and in the end we went by Grab taxi to Wat Sanam Nuea on a Saturday and caught...More

I've heared Ko Kret is a famous sight in Thai, we drove to there. I checked a place of the ferry to there, but we found it was just a wharf. Just funny! The ship fee is just 2baths per 1 adult. Good place near Bangkok for the peace and traditional lovers. Located in a nice place surrounded by river. Not an attractive place for the kids.

Went here with friends during the week and most of it was closed. It's a nice 5.2 kilometre walk around the island. Well worth it. Although on weekends the stalls are open and plenty of places to eat. So go check it out

My partner and I took a day trip to Ko Kret and I cannot recommend enough. This is mostly a place for locals to visit so it's well priced. The people here are revered for their devotion to Buddhism and the people of Bangkok will...More
