Jao Ho Street has become a secondary road and the business has also declined. Therefore, the government set up a night market in 1987. It is the second tourist night market in Taipei.

Upon reaching the nightmarket, the crowd could be seen afar. There was a long queue that i could see snaking out of the entrance. It was a store selling pepper pork buns. Being a foodie, i could not resist joining the queue. After 20 to...More

Honestly this was probably the least impressive night market I visited in Taipei. It's on the smaller side and is most famous for its black pepper buns, which I'm actually not a fan of. There's definitely still a variety of vendors though and for that...More

You can't leave Taipei if you don't come to the night market. It is full of interesting foods, foods, and more foods. Try some of the things you are not used to, because this is the place where it will be most fun. The atmosphere...More

I like that it is fairly compact but contains the essentials for any Taiwan night market. Go early about 6pm to avoid the crowds, take in the smells (good and bad) and have a bite before working it off at Wufenpu. To me all find...More

Visited this place on a Saturday evening. Place was super crowded. Food was tasty, albeit repetition as you walk down Raohe. Do look out for the angus beef cube, blow torched to a slight charred but juicy texture, and seasoned with rose salt. Yummy!!

Arrived at 9pm on a friday night. The pepper bun stall was still crazy crowded. We tried a few stuff - beef cubes, pork rib soup, rice cake with peanut etc. All poor imitations of street food i can find in other countries. It was...More

Try the black pepper pork buns which is near the entrance. Be selective with the snacks to try as a lot of it is fried, so you'll feel full and gross afterwards, and might stop you from trying other things. Lovely temple next door -...More
