This is a massive and beautiful concert hall, located next to the CKS memorial hall. There were no concerts while we were there, so we could only appreciate the beautiful building from outside and peel inside to see the beautiful architecture.

We had visited the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall and were surprised to see two similar looking buildings. At first, we thought this was the Memorial Hall but then realized that the first building from the MRT is the National Theater and the second similar looking building is the Concert Hall. I was excited because now I thought we could... More

very good!!! I've been there at night for the concert, performed by National Symphony Orchestra (NSO). It was really great to hear one of the leading Taiwanese symphonies conducted by Lü Shao-chia in Taipei. Also I got to see the interior details of the national concert hall because usually when visitors go there, they can't get into the building, except going... Our friends from Britain had a concert performance for 3 days in this hall, so we went to support them. It was an amazing experience. The building was beautiful outside and the facilities were outstanding inside! We will visit again for other performances.

I went to two concerts this week, and I was impressed with the acoustics. On Thursday, there was chamber music and on Sunday, the ESO played. This was my first time to attend classical concerts in Asia and I noticed some differences from those I've attended in Europe and North America. There was a fairly small crowd on Thursday night,... I highly recommend you visit the National Concert Hall at night. The opera is much more stunning during night than at daytime. Most important, there are fewer visitors during night. Enjoy it !

I went on a pleasant evening with not many tourists around and loved the space. Obviously everything was closed so didn't get to see anything apart from the outside of the buildings. But the whole evening was very enjoyable and is definitely worth a visit, if you have a spare evening in Taipei.
