The 4 km long ride takes you up and down as you travel higher and higher. Loved the glass bottom gondola - no extra cost and worth the wait. Walk a little way up the road to find some wonderful eating places with great views....More

You can reach the top by taking Shuttle bus at nominal cost of NT$ 15 from Zoo MTR station or go by Gondola which costs NT$ 120. Nice place with eateries , hicking tracks. It will be fun with friends and family.

Taipei has some ropeway adventure to offer to everyone. One of them is the Maokong Gondola where you can a breathtaking view of the Maokong mountain. To make things more exciting for you, choose the gondola that has a transparent glass flooring!

Every shop here sells tea in some incarnation. This place makes for a nice stroll, and the weather is slightly chilly when compared to the foot of the hill. Food is great, although slightly limited.

Enjoy the gondola ride to Maokong while experiencing breath-taking views. Once you arrive in Maokong, be sure to check out the numerous tea houses and restaurants on top of the mountain. Overall, a relaxing time with the opportunity to taste new food and drinks.

Btw, we had the hotspring bath in Beitou.. In the room,there were complimentary tea, coffee and water available. Another round of complimentary tea and dessert was served on another floor at the end of the session.
