Taipei has some ropeway adventure to offer to everyone. One of them is the Maokong Gondola where you can a breathtaking view of the Maokong mountain. To make things more exciting for you, choose the gondola that has a transparent glass flooring!

Maokong station is the last station of a gondola/cable car ride which you can take from Taipei Zoo station. It’s a hill with quite pretty views of surrounding tea plantation areas. Many teashops around there, and some street food (there's this stall which sells really yummy taiwan sausages; after exiting the station, turn left at the road and you will... More

Every shop here sells tea in some incarnation. This place makes for a nice stroll, and the weather is slightly chilly when compared to the foot of the hill. Food is great, although slightly limited.

It's a small mountain but it great to walk around the mountain, you will be surprise that you find good coffee place, ice cream place, and even beautiful tree of flowers blossom over the season, there's also shuttle bus to take if you prefer not walking

Enjoy the gondola ride to Maokong while experiencing breath-taking views. Once you arrive in Maokong, be sure to check out the numerous tea houses and restaurants on top of the mountain. Overall, a relaxing time with the opportunity to taste new food and drinks.

I kind of ended up here by accident and I'm glad I did. I originally took the brown line from central Taipei city with the intention of visiting the zoo. Ended up at the Gondola station and said what the hell. Ended up on top of the mountain in the mist and rain. The mist is incredible and adds to... More

If you want to relax and view the tea plantation.. try the maokong cable with hello kitty motif. It is relaxing and refreshing.. You can go after your visit at Taipei Zoo since it's just a few minutes walk..

It was the 2nd time we visited the mountain and again it was a cool afternoon. The cable car ride is always awesome. It's a pretty long ride to the top but you can get out at a few station along the way, like the zoo or the temple. The scenery is very stunning and on a nice day you... More
