I feel peaceful and warm at Thermal Valley. Thermal Valley is not same like several hot springs in Malaysia. You may learn history about this hot spring when you visit the Beitou Hot Spring Museum. This museum has European and Japanese style.

This hot spring is government owned so everything was reasonable, especially the price of admission NT$40. Check to make sure you aren't coming close to the "intermission" when the clear out the pools to clean them up. Also make sure that you have the proper attire. As others have mentioned, board shorts for men (baggy ones with pockets) are not... More

This town was founded around the hot springs and until today these springs are still center of the local activities. See the old Japanese Spa museum.

This is one of the marvel of the nature and definitely a must visit during taipei visit. Though it's a small place but certainly worth an experience.

Nice place for scenic hiking and very accessible from the metro. Ride the xinbeitou (that's an extension from beitou station) so you can reach the hot springs. Very picturesque National Library however the museum and thermal valley which you can see the boiling water is closed during Mondays.

Beitou is packed with many hot spring hotels where you can spend a fortune having really expensive luxury experiences or you can pick and choose those really cheap.

A short walk away from MRT station. You would reached the museum before the hotspring. Since we are not keep for hot bath our main purpose of visit is to enjoy the sceneries which appears many times on TV. Second pool is hot enough and all are prohibited for bathing or even "soaking" your tired feet in the stream down... More
