Yangmingshan is a beautiful green national park close to Taipei. However, it is not my favorite national park in Taiwan. I prefer long hikes with a lot of activities. Yangminshan felt overly commercialized to me. Probably due to the fact it was right next to Taipei, the park felt very crowded. Nonetheless, if given a chance, I would return to... More

What a wonderful drive in this Park. We drove past the holes with steam and water bubbling out of the ground. I took a short hike up a hill, just sad I had no time for a longer walk. I was fascinated by the different, short bamboo and also the tall grass. Very pretty drive and walk. I do suggest... More

the place is huge, and many attractions to go. I did not book a vehicle as it is just for 2 pax, not worth the money. I travelled by the public buses, a few bus numbers.. but the instructions and directions on the bus stop are not clear enough. I guess if you really want to complete the entire park,... More

To me, if I have to choose between Jiufen and Yangmingshan National Park, I would prefer Yangmingshan. Take S.16 to Qingtiangang and go back to Yangmingshan Bus Status to take bus to Zhuzihu Callas Lilly Villages. Highly recommend to visit this village on the blooming day.

Have to do trekking and climbing to see the view. There are many tracks to choose from - the easy route to the more challenging ones

We had a great time climbing the mountains at Yangmingshan, taking in the beautiful views and scenery, pretty birds, and butterflies.

We visited this place on early of May, although unfortunately the place was surrounded by fogs, we do not regret to come here. The air very fresh! And I'm pretty sure if there was no fogs that time, we surely will be awed by the view served in front of us. This place is accessible by train followed by bus.... More

our family went to the highest point, qing tian gang stop. the air was fresh and the view was magnificient. many couples taking wedding photoshoot and hikers along the way, it was a pity the flowering season was over. there are many other stops along the way that was worth exploring.

The wait for the next bus to go on to the next stop can be pretty frustrating. So, I would only advise going if you have your own transport, or if you are truly patient and have a whole day to spare for a truly leisurely trip. Also, while entry to the attraction is free, transport within the attraction is... More

really enjoyed the park, went to the calla lily festival and xiaoyoukeng which were both very good to walk. weather was good, best to go in March where it isn't so hot. be sure to check the weather forecast, if it rains, its really troublesome because there's a lot of walking and you don't want to be wet and sticky...
