Wasn't very impressed with this dated looking museum. The building itself is gorgeous, but the dioramas are very old looking and the collection is quite small. The best part was the gem exhibit. Admission price gets you in to the museum across the street which...More

I actually liked my visit more than I expected. There's not much to see, but one exhibit in particular really impressed me: the rock art exhibit. They had cut rocks into very thin strips and then put them in frames. Amazingly enough they looked like...More

This museum is a must see. Their treasures are unbelievable. The building itself is a must see. Bring comfy shoes because there are a lot of steps.

Nothing really special unless you like rocks and stones. The building is nice and the history behind it. Grounds around building were nice.

While the 3rd floor is being reworked, the valuable stone exhibit is very good explaining the science behind these valuable minerals and has nice displays of gems, exquisite pieces of jewelry and other finished objects. There is also a special exhibit of thin stone slices that...More

Much of the museum was closed for renovations. An exhibit on the stones of Taiwan, which were quite beautiful, and one small area on wildlife. Large sections closed off but only 30NTD entry so no big deal.
