We were actually heading to another Foot Massage place which was recommended, however it was Saturday and the other place was filled to capacity. Thus we walked by Kin Raku, walked in and asked if two can be accommodated and they advised yes.
Upon entering you can see this is a more upscale/upmarket establishment. The overall interior is clean and refreshing. Also you will see locals which is a good sign. Fresh flowers, water features a truly relaxing environment.
We both opted for the 10 min Head/Neck/Shoulder Massage and a Foot Massage. The experience was absolutely heavenly. I personally have very tight muscles in my neck and shoulder areas and the masseuse was truly excellent working out the knots and bringing circulation to the area. All this time your feet are bathed in a warm spa bath.
The foot massage is out of this world. Truly relaxing (and not uncommon to see others sleeping). The spa chairs are quite comfortable and adjustable. Welcome to watch television or just lay back and enjoy. You truly do not want the massage to end.
Pricing is quite reasonable, most credit cards are accepted (can leave tip on card but best to provide cash gratuity to your masseuse). If in Taipei and in the area do consider taking an hour out and enjoying this indulgence.

The Kin Raku Foot Massage center was recommended by the Concierge at the Howard Plaza Hotel. It is a 5 minute walk up Da'An Road. I had a foot massage and a two (2) hour body massage with oil. Mabel #12 is the person to request for. She is pretty powerful but will adjust to your pain threshold. Her english is conversational only but
better than the other masseuses. Cost was about $80 USD with tip!!!!

I wish I could give no star to this massage shop. I went there on Wednesday 16th of August after long day of walking and driving. I asked for peeling of the feet, reflexology and one hour massage. A guy did the peeling and it was fine. However, only after one day the skin was as hard as stone again. Then for the reflexology and massage another guy was assigned who did not know any English and his body figure was more like a wrestler or power lifter. The moment he started the reflexology I felt he is going to break my foot. But I didn't want to give up. I could see he was pressing so much that his hand was shaking. Anyway, after 40 minutes it was time for the massage. I was hoping he is better at foot massage but I was wrong. He was using the same power which I believe it was his maximum limit and he was pressing the wrong spots like bones rather than muscles. I tried to be patient and just accept because I was not alone and I didn't want to ruin my partner's massage. Every time he was pressing a wrong spot I was moving my hands without making noise to let him know I am in pain. But he didn't care much. At one point (around 40 minutes) I felt my knees will pop out of the skin if I don't react now. So I pushed him away and said I know you are strong and there is no need to prove it on me. His reaction was laughing! Anyway, I never thought massage can be unpleasant too until I tried Raku Kin. Avoid it if you can.
