Didn't try the mud

Great experience, even if it is to watch how the Taiwanese enjoy their hot pools. Lovely to move between different polls trying them out

Guanziling hot springs is a mountainous area with many resort spas , restaurants and scenic venues. The fire and water park has walking trails and food stalls. The temple picture was built in 1701 and overlooks the valley. Al. The resorts have thermal baths and some with mud baths. A very enjoyable visit. We had looked at maps and thought... More

We came here for day trip only. During my research, Kings Garden Villa was the most popular resort with public access to the hot spring. You can get the latest admission info on the hotel website. The property was well maintained with an outdoor swimming pool, outdoor hot spring area (5 hot pools + 2 cold pool + 1 dipping... More

This is my first time to have a hot spring bath in Taiwan! We checked into a "hot spring" resort, and book for a room with hot spring (mud type, if i not mistaken) bath tub, and cool water bath tub for 2 hours with TWD900. We really had a great time here to release our stress and tiredness.

Drop into Guanziling if you are nearby or heading towards Tainan. This is a hot spring town, travel by car is suggested as you could hop from one to another easily. The mud spa is unique to the place and you should go for it. After a long day, hop to a nearby restaurant to try the roasted chicken that... More

I think a lot of foreigners will not like this attraction. I found it very different than most hot springs around the world. It was essentially like sitting in a big, hot wading pool with a bunch of people staring at you. Didn't find it relaxing at all.

Close enough for a nice day trip from Tainan, its a nice little spot in the mountains. We stopped for some coffee, chicken and of course, a dip in the springs. There are lots of choices, you can't really go wrong. It's about $400 per person.

I did this a few times already, take train to XinYing town, rent a scooter (just left around corner of station 500nt) and drive up all the way to the mountain! you may make ~2 short stops for orchid farm, burning water (sounds exciting but isnt) the big temple complex, movie village, a water basin, a awsome mountain temple, sightseeing... We took the local bus 7214 at a bus stop near the Chiayi Train Station. it was an hour's smooth ride to the last stop where we alighted at the bus car park. This is the same place where we boarded the bus back to the train station (need to check the bus timing on the board display). there are... More
