On 8th November 2016 we visited Chitwan and stayed in Landmark Forest Park. The resort arranged for a jungle safari on elephant which was thrilling since it was the first time ever we went for a jungle safari on elephant. We started at 3pm in the afternoon and the elephant ride took us through dense forest. We could see Rhinos, wild... More

Well what do you expect to see during a long 4 hour ride on a circuit where 30 big diesel jeeps are active ? Yeah.. I think you get it. It's all about super luck. Don't have ANY expectations. As an alternative I would propose to go for a quiet long jungle walk or to go on that stealthy river... More

We bought this package after having completed our Everest Base Camp Trek in order to get back into the tropical heat. We got the morning version. It took 4 hours to drive around this park in a jeep. We had viewed more green vegetation than anything else. Very few bathroom stops. We froze to death as the temperature this time... More

Didn't do the elephant safari, I don't like how they're treated. We did the river canoe trip and it was great, saw lots of migratory birds, rhinos and crocodile. The boat seems to rock a lot at first but after it is smooth and enjoyable.

Visited last year with friends. But we didn't find much wildlife in there. Did Elephant Safari, which was good. But didn't match the expectation as it was supposed to be.

We bought a two-night package with activity; Not really a safari but a succession of activity on the edge of the park; The navigation in a freight boat I liked, we saw many crocodiles; The elephant ride has become very touristy and the mahouts follow trails already traced; Only the crossing of the deep branches of the river is spectacular;... My husband and I did a Safari in Tanzania a few years ago and went to the Chitwan park with some friends who really wanted to do a Safari after our 16 days hike, it took us over 12 hours to get there and this was a total waste of time and money. Maybe my expectations were too high and... More
