PKR is called as a lake city too. and Rupa is one of them. it is nice and cool. but a bit far from the city and nothing so great. if u have time u can come and visit. and also stop at famous rupa kot resort for a cup of tea and enjoy a great view.

Wonderful way to spend a day on this beautiful lake. Take a taxi out there and go for a paddle in one of the boats available. Just magical and then pop into the water for a lovely swim.

Rupa Lake is a simsar area, a wetland, so its a protected area. The protection and restoration is led by a local cooperative.I went there to see the works of the cooperative. It was amazing. Its a great option away from overcrowded Phewa Lake. You can get local buses to get there. But its better to hire a car and visit other lake, lake Begnas.

This is still very undeveloped and is not overcrowded like Phewa of Begnas. Here you can sit and relax and do bird watching. The king fishers are plenty as well as some type of Asian flycatchers.

If you are a traveler that loves tranquility, This is the place for you, Its not as famous as Begnas and not as crowded yet provides a breathe taking view and some cozy eateries around Rupa offer some unique food experience.
The lake isn't as big as Begnas, yet its surrounded by green hill and the majority of lake is owned by local-co-operative villagers so is monitored and cared for.

Nothing extraordinary with this lake. Situated very near to Begnas lake. You can skip this lake if you have seen Begnas lake first. Just nice and serene place.

Very beautiful but not as expectedly popular lake in pokhara is Rupa. Having different access route from lekhnath municipality this lake has many potential to be as touristic destination in Pokhara.
