    Fabulous Views
Went on the cable car. Fabulous views of Pokhara and Fewa Lake. Found cafe where owner had her own weaving loom and sold items she'd made herself. Not much in Sarangot other than a few hotels and cafés, but pleasant to walk around and on a clear day you can see Anbapurna. Company that runs the cable car offers adventure sports as well. View tower/restaurant at top of cable car.

    Simply breathtaking
THIS is what I had come to Nepal to see, mountain scenery at its best. I wasn't disappointed as I stumbled to put clothing on after a very early call at my hotel. We then bumped and bobbled our way up narrow rough roads to a parking spot below the view point before getting out and slowly climbing our way up on foot past little shops, people's homes and little hotels. There was more climbing when we reached the viewpoint to clamber up staircases to the very pinnacle of the site at Sarangkot. My reward for all this effort was to be the first person there, my guide quickly grabbing two chairs to give us the best position to see dawn come up over the Annapurna range. To start with there was little to see in the darkness, just a hit of dawn to come and a vast sprinkling of lights dotted about way below us. The light began to strengthen and the range peaks were picked out in early sunshine while we far below were still largely in darkness. Eventually we turned slightly to our right and the first twinkle of the rising sun sent spear of light over the foothills and more distant ranges, the sun getting stronger and stronger in a breathtaking display of scenic beauty. Far over there were vast banks of fluffy cloud or mist, but the mountains were clear as a bell and the sunshine slowly crept up towards us in a brilliant range of colours. This was an unforgettable experience, something I will never forget, and I would strongly urge anyone staying in Pokhara to make sure they book themselves on to a mountain dawn sightseeing trip for some stunning memories.

As many already reviewed, Sarangkot is undoubtedly an amazing spot to get an amazing glimpse of the sunrise and a panoramic view of the annapurna range. However, the hilltop gets crowded early with groups from the city. It is recommended to stay at Sarangkot a night before to avoid the rush. The entrance for Nepalese is Rs. 30, Students Rs. 20 and for others its Rs. 60. I would suggest to avoid the tower and enjoy the view from the base of the tower.

5 a.m we start our trip to climb the mountain to Sarangkot...
Sarangkot is accessible by foot and hikers can take the easy few minutes trail..
a hill on the western side of Pokhara with an altitude of 1600m. Sarangkot is known for panoramic Himalayan views..
In the way the cloud will be down than you are ,with beautiful view.
Travelers get incredible views and a taste of local village life.
This tiny village just north of Pokhara is known for its stunning sunrises over the Annapurna Mountains. . Visit the Shiva temple tucked away on the mountaintop, soak up stunning views of Phewa Lake and look for indigenous birds, leopards and tigers roaming through the natural landscapes. Adrenaline junkies can also paraglide from Sarangot, or fly down the world’s fastest zipline, which starts at the top of this famous mountain.

First of all for everyone to know, remember, mostly in the the packages offered to u by your Travel agent(indian), sarangkot is optional,so confirm first, and sunrise trip is not included, so negotiate accordingly else u will have to arrange it yourself, shelling out another 2000npr for taxi. Secondly paragliding etc starts at 10am, So u will miss sunrise, if you select paragliding thinking you will visit Sarangkot anyways.

Try reaching the venue at least 45 minutes before, as there is a steep stairs you have to climb. Not recommended for young and old ppl, as it quite taxing. There is another view point at the base, but exactly not the same view.

Weather plays a important role, if its very cloudy, it can be a spoilsport and also carry proper woolens etc.

Overall sunrise in sarangkot is a highlight and not to be missed.

Don't go to Saragkot expecting to see the Annapurna Himalayas in March.
The best season for viewing the Annapurna Himalayan peaks from Sarangkot is in October.
The only thing you are likely to catch when you get up @4.00 am and drive up the rather narrow mountain road is a cold.
The place was choked with tourists hoping to catch a glimpse of sunrise over the Himalayas.
The only thing they likely caught was a running nose and cold.
Go in October.
The mushrooming sunrise viewing decks which are basically the roof tops of the enterprising local residents offer tepid tasteless tea for a seat in the top deck @100 Nepali rupees
October is the time to visit when the mountain views are clear and beautiful right from your hotel room in Pokhara.

Magical. No other word can more aptly describe what I witnessed today morning at Sarangkot Pokhara. The sunrise over the Annapurna ranges is absolutely magical and mesmerised me.

Annapurna Cable car starts at 4.45 am (i hv heard). I bought ticket at 5.30 am. Takes 10 mins to reach the top and further 5-10 mins walk to reach the vieweing point (there are many, farther up the better).

Reach the vieweing spot 15 mins before the official sunrise time.

It may be cloudy in the valley but due to its height sarangkot may still have clear views.

Sarangkot is one of the easiest places to get to outside of Pokhara and one you will probably never forget. We hired a local taxi to get us close to Sarangkot, then we hoofed it up to the viewing spots. Sarangkot is undoubtedly THE location for the finest views of the Annapurna range of the Himalayan Mountains. From this vantage point you can see close to 30 peaks over 6000 meters (20,000 feet) with one - Annapurna I over 8000 meters (26,000 feet). The view is spectacular as you take in the view of these massive peaks. The Annapurna Range is in the Annapurna Conservation Area which was the first and largest conservation area in Nepal.

From the viewpoint, you’re afforded uninterrupted, panoramic views across a number of the most striking Himalayan peaks, including the imposing Dhaulagiri (8167m), the triangle peak of Machhapuchhare, Annapurna II and Lamjung. The light show here is incredible, as the peaks turn from bright pink, to orange, and finally white.

Day well spent with family. At Sarangkot mountain today we supported women entrepreneurs- they weave wool and make scarfs, shawls etc. it’s a group of about 30 women who want to earn a living and learn a skill set. Some work from home as they are raising kids, farming in addition to weaving. I believe in women being independent and I was so happy to support their business today. Shopping for a good cause ❤️💰❤️ @ Sarangkot Mountain

Our Hotel (Three Jewels Boutique Hotel) Owner booked the Sky Bird Paragliding team for us.

They arranged Hotel Pick up and drop off for us.

Took off nicely from the higher point (1600 mtrs.) Sarangkot and had an amazing flight and landing smoothly near the lake 30 minutes later

Excellent view during the flight.

The Pilot was highly experienced, very friendly and explained the details elaborately.

Exciting Experience.
