It was main daily routine walk early morning. Lovely people and peaceful place. Boats are available for rent. Must seen once you are in Pokhara. Highly recommended! Cheers,

Beautiful lake in a stunning valley, busy with temple goers and tourists. We could not see the Himalayas our day there due to clouds and haze. It’s one of the few places we visited in Nepal where trash is managed. You can take a boat...More

This is a very big lake and is very clean. It is surrounded by lush green mountains and there is also a temple in the mid of this lake. You can hire a 4 seater capacity boat for $15 and see this entire lake.

I live in Pokhara for three months each year. My opion of Fewa is, pretty to see but terrible to touch. Due to the mind set of most Napalese, the lake is a cesspool of filth. The government has attempted to clean the areas around...More

Marvelous views of mountain from the lake. On the perfect day, the mountains are mirrored on the surface of the lake. And a great place for jogging in the morning along the lakeside.

We rowed ourselves in the lake, quiet and fun. Give the temple a miss, too many locals there. Would recommend.

Phewa Lake is beautiful to look at, and even more fun to hire a boat and row across (or around). Of course you can also hire a boatman, but where’s the fun in that?

Visited the temple on a small island, but the highlight was definitely seeing a kingfisher at work. The hour long boat trip was worth every penny

Fewa Lake in Pokhara is beautiful. Catching a boat out to the temple on the island in the middle of the lake is an interesting experience...no one lines up and waits their turn to get on a boat...it’s much worse trying to get on a...More

Pokhara is only 827 m high from the sea level. So you can not find ice in Pokhara although Sept is season of Ice fall in the Himalaya. But you can enjoy the spectacular Himalaya range as well as boating in Fewa lake. But if... More

With a warm fleece you should be OK. I would try the afternoon when the temperature has risen a little. It will be cold but this keeps the tourists away so it will be quieter at the temple on the lake hopefully.
