The monastery is situated in a peaceful environment with a very beautiful and well maintained garden. We were lucky to experience the monks doing their afternoon puja. It was a very rewarding experience for all of us.

Loved the peaceful atmosphere and the hike towards it. Worth every drop of sweat - I walked all the way from Lakeside there. Not much to do there but enjoy yourself and the view and the serene quality surrounding it. Worth it.

About a 20-minute drive from bustling Lakeside lies this colorful Tibetan temple. It was very quiet when we visited, just some young monks running around on the square. The temple is located on a hill, so you’ll have a nice view of Pokhara. The last part up here is quite steep, so we parked our scooter, and climbed the stairs. But I guess a taxi could get here just fine. On the way here from Lakeside, you pass the ’real’ center of Pokhara, with local shops and markets. Definitely recommend visiting the temple if you want to get away from busy lakeside and explore local Pokhara.

Looks like quite a climb to get to if you're walking - my driver barreled his way up so it wasn't that bad for me. Looks like a pretty laid back temple/monastery. Saw lots of child monks in the main hall seemingly blessing people by touching their heads with a book. Great views up here.

All the monasteries in Nepal or the northeastern part of India are very peaceful. No matter how big or small the monastery it just feels very good and no words can actually explain the feeling.

The hand painted murals on the walls are amazing. Beautiful statues, great view. Go around 2:30 or 3:00 in the afternoon to hear the monks chanting. Be respectful and quiet.
