on the walk from Thamel to Ason, lies Kathesimbu Stupa in Naghal- a hidden but well known gem. Even if you have just 10 mins to spare, take the opportunity to visit.

We came accross this small stupa and the small collection of other shrines on the way to Durbar Square. Not the most fascinating thing we saw in Kathmandu but definitely worth looking at.

Right off the street, stands this lovely popular Tibetan pilgrimage site dating to the 17th century; perhaps smaller than some other stupas, but nonetheless noteworthy for its escape from earthquake damage.
