This was our third trip with Visit Himalaya Treks, having previously completed the Annapurna and Everest Base Camp Treks. This was a challenging trek in a remote area, which demanded skillful management, especially with a group of seven trekkers. As on our previous treks, the organisation and attention to detail by Himal and his team were impeccable throughout. Special thanks go our guide Krishna Bohara who had led our previous treks. He is extremely attentive and goes above and beyond in keeping his clients safe and well informed before, during and after each day of the itinerary. Thanks also, our assistant guide, Sangay who was also the group chef, providing us with great food, despite the limitations of menus in this remote area. Thanks also the porters, with a special mention to Puran for keeping us entertained - he will make a great guide in the future.
All in all another fantastic trek in a beautiful area which will last in our memories for ever. We look forward to our next trek with Visit Himalaya Treks. Thanks again and Namaste Himal, Raj and all the team.

Our 18 day trek was made possible with great input from Raj and Himal at Visithimalayastrek.com. The itinerary allowed easy acclimatisation and our guide Aila Tamang and porter Dependra were patient caring and attentive. All our needs were accomodated and the adjustments in our trekking times due to weather were taken care of by our guide Aila in consultation with Raj and Himal. I recommend them to take care of all your trekking needs . It was so simple to plan through email direct to them then adjust our daily goals during the trek.Thank you Himal, Raj, Aila and Dependra.

Just completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek organised by Himal and guided by Subba. I cannot remember these guys enough, Himal’s communication was top tier, very prompt responses and answered my (many!!) questions in the lead up to travelling. He made arriving and departing in Kathmandu very smooth and accommodated us in a lovely hotel. Subba was a wonderful guide, not only did he ensure we acclimatised perfectly and was very considerate of our safety and wellbeing but he was great company and became a good friend. Also special thanks to our porter Suraj - don’t know how he did it!

An absolutely fantastic trip with VHT to the Upper Mustang to see the yearly Tiji Festival!
Organisation was top notch - especially important for me as I travelled alone. Communication with Himal and Raj was excellent and always immediate.
I was guided by Rajan with Narayan as my porter. They were both extremely professional and caring!
Of note, the trip cost included all meals whilst hiking, so was great value and without the worry of budgeting!
The trip was complicated by bush fires causing cancelled flight, but Raj and Rajan sorted a Jeep with no hassle.
The whole thing was easy and seamless. I would highly recommend as a bespoke small-group tour group.

When I E-mailed Himal that I would first come to Nepal to meet him, he visited me in the Guesthouse and gave me the advice I needed to start my Trek. Instead of booking a Trek at a company based in the North of Europe I wanted to book at a Kathmandu based company. So I did.
For me it was the first time in Nepal and the first time to do a Trek.
Doing The Annapurna Base Camp Trek solo with a Guide and Porter was the advice from Himal. So I did. So we did, the three of us.
The big advantage of going solo instead of joining a group is that you can have your own tempo, stop anytime to rest and spend some time on a spot which is special to you.
The Guide and Porter are not in a rush so they will wait for you.
Next to that, I did this Trek one week before high season, although the Monsoon was not completely over, the number of tourists was still low so therefor it was nice and quiet in the Himalaya mountains.
And when it comes to Himal and his crew, the Trek is easygoing because everything will be arranged so that yo can concentrate on the Trek and the endless stairs you need to climb. Lots of times you will find yourself in the clouds until the sky will clear and show the spectacular views on the highest mountains in the world.
Some physical training and protecting clothes are essential for doing a Trek in the mountains but if you go solo you will have enough time to adjust to new the conditions. Take your time, enjoy the Trek and never stop trying.
So if you have the plan to visit Nepal and the Himalayas just contact Himal and he will guide you safely through the landscape and culture.
Meanwhile you will have a lovely holiday and invest your money directly in the local economy.

I just completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Visit Himalaya Treks, and I will cherish these memories forever. Initially, I was supposed to trek solo, but the company paired me with another solo traveler, and it turned out to be the perfect match. With our wonderful and caring guide, Subba, and our heroic porter, Suraj, we had the most amazing time and created a little "family" over the past two weeks. The weather was perfect, the panoramas were absolutely breathtaking, and the team was supportive and attentive every step of the way. I highly recommend Visit Himalaya Treks for anyone seeking a safe, fun, and unforgettable adventure in Nepal!

A friend recommended VHT to us and we're glad we took her advice. Our very experienced guide Ngima took good care of us, being inexperienced hikers, while trekking in Langtang Valley and Gosaikunda. The whole organisation feels professional and personally involved. Thank you for our amazing experience!

Just returned from an individual trekking with guide Bikram from Visit Himalaya Treks. Despite it being a remote area bertreft, Kangchenjunga is located in the far east of Nepal on the border with India, the transport (plane and 2 days jeep) was excellently arranged by Visit Himalaya. A tailor-made walking schedule was drawn up with sufficient time for acclimatisation and side trips. Especially the personal and flexible approach of visithimalayatreks and his guide were greatly appreciated.

This was our first trip to Nepal and to tick of a big bucket list item - the Everest base camp trek!
We could not be more impressed with VHT and their organisation of our trek. Himal and Raj made sure our trip was seamless from start to finish and helped us organise any gear hire, transport etc. With everything taken care of we could simply just enjoy the journey.
Our guide Ishwar and porter Nima were absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable of the Everest region and Nepali culture. Ishwar went to great lengths to make sure we were comfortable, safe and always got our top up of Dal bhat! Thank you Ishwar for sharing all your insights, your support and for making this the trek of a lifetime!
VHT have a lot of returning clients and we will no doubt be one of them! Looking forward to our next adventure in Nepal!

It was an amazing trek with Naima! He was super nice and supportive. We went on a trek on march 2023 with the Annapurna circuit trek. It was beautiful, and our Guide Naima really helped us with everything. Before and after. Would fully recommend to anyone!

Hi do we need visa to enter Nepal for Himalayan Mt Everest trek planning?
Written 9 May 2018
I think if you are from India you do not need a visa to enter the country of Nepal, but you should check with your relevant government departments, and you will need to carry your passport.
Yes, you do need permits and passes to enter into the Himalayas park itself, in most cases your trekking guide company will organise these for you, so no worries, otherwise you can do it yourself
I am sure that Visit Himalaya Treks can help you with your questions, they are super nice people!
