I was enrolled in a 2 week retreat program, where I got the chance the have many yoga classes with professional teachers as well as many treatment and massages. The staff is very professional and I always got what I want, a relaxed and stress free get away. The program was a mix of yoga, meditation and massages which was what i really needd.the rooms are clean and the vegetarian food was very delicious. I rexommend this place to everyone who is looking for a vacation full of peace joy and relaxation. For sure i will come again ❤️Visited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 16 September 2023
- Yogini PandaChristchurch, New Zealand58 contributionsI love Nepal Yoga Home so much, I came backThis has got to be my favourite place in Nepal. This family run yoga school has only the best to offer. From knowledgeable Gurus, to 5* hotel standard rooms, to clean vegetarian eating, you really can't go wrong. You are made to feel so welcome at Nepal Yoga Home and a member of the family. This is my second time back here and I have really enjoyed seeing their newest building, offering top of the line amenities and comforts. Can't wait to return once more, this is my home away from home with my Nepali family. Thank you all for your hospitality, kindness and generosity. ♥️🙏🏼Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 September 2023

- Getaway146551810161 contributionIf you are in Nepal you should visitI took 2-week Ayurveda retreat in Nepal Yoga Home. Firstly, I want to highlight treatment that changed my life. It gave me what I have been looking for months. Also, Home staff is so thoughtful and taking care of literally everything. Thank you to Shanti and others for hosting me. They made me feel home. I made a lot of friends from different countries and we made a special bond. I found this place coincidentally, but I am glad I did. Massage and other procedures are so amazing. They are professional in what they do. And food is very delicious and fresh.Visited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 23 October 2023

The deep knowledge and passion both instructors have for nada yoga and the art of sounds healing was inspiring. The quality is really high. They have a genuine will to share their knowledge, which is beautiful in a place like this where they have so many people coming and going. Great teachers! Administrator Shanti brings beautiful energy to this place with her genuine care for everyone. I would say she is the one factor that makes it feel like a homely environment!
Although I really felt like the course was too rushed and the structure around the curriculum was a bit confused aswell. The red thread could have been more thought through. This was an introductory course and it felt likt the instructors themselves felt like they needed more time to give us a sense of how to practice on others. As of value for money I believe the course could have been more hours to actually feel like this is a foundation to start practicing from. They have the absolute best of intentions (!) but for me I felt like I would have liked more structure and time to explore and discuss.
Small change could make this course great!

This was the best yoga experience I have ever had in my life. All the teachers are so incredible professionals. The yoga and meditation classes are really good and full of knowledge. If you are in Nepal I do recommend Nepal Yoga Home for the yoga courses or even to spend some relaxing days and you can do many nice therapies there too. The staff are so friendly, the owners make you feel at home and the people from around the world whose stay there are also so nice and good vibes. Do not hesitate, just stay there and you will do have a great time in Nepal.

I just went through Pranayama and Meditation course and it made me feel very peaceful and happy. Love the atmosphere, the laughs and the jokes of Prakash.
I recommend it to anyone who want to heal themselves, maintain a positive state of mind or change their life.

I stayed 2 weeks in Nepal Yoga home in Dec until early Jan for yoga retreat and singing bowl training.
There were morning, noon and afternoon yoga and evening meditation all led by really good expert teachers.
The food is vegan/vegetarian and the accomodations, yoga hall and dining area are quite luxurious for a yoga home and brand new.
The management and staff is caring and you feel part of the family.
Great spiritual experience

Stayed for an 8 day yoga retreat and I loved the generosity of the people and the philosophy. It is a family run yoga home and they do their best to welcome you and help with any little thing. I really enjoyed and learnt a lot from the focus on yoga philosophy, pranayama and meditation as well as the asanas that are more well known/practiced in the west. The food was delicious! It's not in nature, it's like a suburb of Kathmandu, but the area was interesting to walk around during spare time. I also had a massage which was blissful. Just a couple of small things could be improved around the structure and planning, for example to give some introduction at the start and check communications between students, teachers and organisers are all aligned about the schedule.

In need of a break in your busy life ? A need of peace ? A need of care ? You have just came to the perfect place. :) Surrounded by nature, as soon as you arrive to Nepal Yoga home you can feel your lungs filled with fresh air. Behind the land of houses, you can have a look at a beautiful view on the Himalayas. The peaceful atmosphere will give you a break from the city. The food is delicious, and the room most comfortable, the place is really clean and cozy. The staff will take care of you in such a kind way, and the owner of the place Prakash Acarya and his family are the most lovely people.
From morning to night the day is harmoniously going on with Yoga classes, relaxation, healthy food and warm atmosphere.
That is perfect way to spend your time in Nepal. Don't be scare to come here during winter time, it is cold , but not so much , and really sunny during the day. In this way I enjoyed to be here during January.

The 3 days singing bowl therapy course felt quite disorganized and almost like an add-on to the other longer Ayurvedic or yoga courses offered at the Nepal Yoga Home. I think as newbies, we learnt the basics but honestly at times we started to think that the instructors were probably better in teaching something else and this was not their forte. Some glaring omissions were that while we learnt sound theory, we were never taught how to hold a mallet and play a singing bowl. We were not explained that there is a difference between the Vedic system and the Nepalese system and its bowls, notes and corresponding chakras differ. Subsequently, I have enrolled in a Udemy course online and am enhancing the missing pieces. In hindsight, it's best to go a place where singing bowls is the priority and something else. The owners of the facility are very nice and I nearly didn't post this review but then thought I wish someone had written a similar post so that we had gone somewhere else and gotten value for what we paid,

I had the great luck to be in Nepal Yoga Home for 14 days for a silent retreat.
They just finished a new building (with an Ayurveda- Spa on the top) and I was the first guest in the room I got. The room was very nice and cozy, the Ayurveda treatments, the yoga- and meditation classes excellent.
But the best was the staff- I have never seen Hosts being so eager to give their guests the best experience possible… thanks a lot for that!

Nepal Yoga Home is real home for yoga and meditation. I really enjoyed my yoga retreat course in Nepal Yoga Home. I have visited this place to refresh my mind and to receive mental and spiritual energy. I got lot of meditation tools, breathing technique, chanting and relaxation. Everywhere we can get information of asana but hard to get life changing meditation. I am grateful to get such a yoga master who have great contribution to change my life. I am always debited from yours knowledge, love and meditation which helped me to control my emotional distraction. I highly recommend this amazing place for everyone who really want to experience inner world.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has had any issues finding work after this training. The school is registered as a 200 hour school with yoga Alliance, not 500. They are only registered as a 500 hour yoga school with yoga Alliance India.
I plan to teach in Canada or the US.
Did the training provide you with enough information to create your own classes ?
Written 25 October 2017
Dear Calgary,
The training provide the enough information. But Every country has their rules about the acceptance of certificate. US, Australia, UK , India all they have different yoga alliance. If you are taking certificate from US that might be not valid to India or Nepal until they give you equivalent and same for others.
Written 26 October 2017
Hello, just want to ask how many Yoga teachers are at Nepal Yoga Home? because Im thinking about a 500h course, and searching for a good school. Im already expired in Yoga so I wonder if its also suitable for advanced.
Greetings Annett
Written 25 July 2017
Dear Annett,
Thanks for your interest in yoga and meditation. We are currently providing 200 hours and 500 hours yoga teacher training. 200 hours is for 21 days and cost is 1400 usd which is certified by yoga alliance USA and 500 horus is 29 days and costs 2000usd and is certified form yoga alliance india.
Both 200 and 500 hours course starts from the beginning level. classes is together but for 500 hours we have one extra book for advanced yoga and also they have more time so they can definitely learn advanced things. But most of the classes is together with 200 hours because the student who don't have 200 hours will join 500 hours directly in our course.
If you already have 200 hours most of the things will be repeated for you but definitely you will also learn many new and advanced things as well.
Please reply us what kind of classes do you like? we starts in group in 1st of every month.
Regards,
Nepal Yoga Home
