Dec 2019
Me and 3 friends decided on a last min trip to Nepal in Dec of 2019. When we set out for the trip all we knew was we wanted to do a 12-14 Annapurna trek, but did not book anything advance with the idea that we would book something in Katmandu. We read a few reviews and set out to check out two agencies. We lucky found and decided on Nepal Eco Adventure. We meet the owner Chhatra who hooked us up with our amazing guide Nir Chhatra. Our group could not have been luckier to find the team we were linked up with. Nir and his porters were beyond words professional and provided us with an amazing life expereice. Our guide and porters provided us with a world of knowledge on-top of the infinite kindness we have come to love from the Nepal people. On the trail we were hit by a decent size snow storm on our summit day and had to make the hard decision of pushing forward in knee deep snow or turning back and back tracking 3 days. We collectivity decided as a group to make the attempt at the pass. Nir and his porters (Bisnu Karki & Subash Karki) gave us the most professional hard working experience I have ever been given to safely get us up and over the high pass. After all said and done Nir stayed a few extra days showing us around Pokura and Katmandu on-top of inviting us into his home and sharing and amazing dinner experience with him and his family. I could not be more happy with my Nepal Eco Adventure experience and am forever thankful for Chhatra and Nir for the memories.

I just completed a 15 day Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) tour with Nepal Eco Adventure and had a great experience. As a solo traveller I had lots of questions and Chhatra patiently answered all of these questions in the lead up to my trip. The company provided good quality and clean gear including a down jacket, down sleeping bag, duffel bag and trekking poles. My tour group was small, with just one other person. Our guide Sandeep was excellent - his English skills are great, and he had plenty of knowledge to share about Nepalese culture and the mountains along the trek. Sandeep's positive energy made the trek enjoyable, especially during the difficult parts. Our porter Raj was also great - in addition to assisting us with his superhuman strength, he was kind and caring. Our guide and porter were really accommodating, from making sure that we were safe during the trek to ensuring that our dietary requirements were catered for. Sandeep checked our oxygen levels as we progressed through the trek, which was reassuring as we ascended to higher altitudes.

I would highly recommend Nepal Eco Adventure - they were transparent with all inclusions in the tour, and everything was as described. We met a few people along the trek who had bad experiences with guides, so pick this company and rest assured that you will be looked after!

Everything about my experience with Nepal Eco Tours was excellent from the initial panning to the final drop off in Kathmandu. The trekking route was great with lots of beautiful views and interesting stops. The gear provided by Nepal Eco Tours was top notch... sleeping bags , heavy parkas, micro-spikes and duffel bag. The online communications, planning and payment were all smooth and easy to do. Of Special note: Our guide Jiba Sherpa and porter, Shanta were amazing and in fact made the whole experience safe, interesting, enjoyable and most of all memorable Jiba was very knowledgeable about the area, the trek, guest houses and food. Every selection he made was perfect. They both were eco conscious, polite, friendly and interesting. Due to some health issues I had, and some weather concerns, Jiba made adjustments to our trekking plan as needed to ensure our health and safety. Although we were not able to make our planned destination, we loved all the adjustments we made and now have some incredible experiences to remember for the rest of our lives. Shanta was sweet, polite and very up beat. Although I had planned to carry my own pack, I was ill the first couple of days and needed help. Shanta took on the extra load with a smile and watched my every move to ensure I was doing OKay. Leaving Jiba and Shanta at the end of the trek was like saying goodbye to family.... they will always be a significant part of my memories and I hope to someday see them again. Kudos to Jiba and Shanta. Thank you Nepal Eco tours for putting us with these two amazing men and for providing a trek of a lifetime!

My mate Anthony and I went on The Three Passes Trek with Nepal Eco and I personally had the best trekking experience I have ever had in my life. I’ve been hiking in a lot of crazy beautiful places but this one takes the cake without a doubt. Our tour guide, Sudip, was the consummate professional and was always looking out for our small group, from the big things like making sure all the permits and flights in and out of Lukla went smoothly down to the smallest details like ensuring we had fruit each day of our trip (which he carried himself) and always ensuring our safety was first in mind as with checking our oxygen levels daily and providing constant positive reinforcement to get us all across the line. His hand-picked porters, Arjun and Ras, were the gentlest but most unbelievably strong men I’ve ever met and were like our uncles to us on the whole trip in always looking after our safety along the way. Despite some dramas getting into Lukla due to poor weather at the start which meant that we had to shorten our itinerary from 16 to 12 days, we became like a little family over this time period. My most heartfelt thanks to mountain legends Sudip, Arjun and Ras without which I could not have made it through the Three Passes - I wish them the very best for the future and recommend anyone to ask for these legends for a future trekking expedition.

We (27 year old girl with her father) had an amazing experience with this agency while trekking the Manaslu circuit. Contact with my dad beforehand was easy and I could rent my hiking sticks for 700 rupees at the agency. There was a bit of miscommunication because our guide didn’t know he was our porter as well at the beginning of the trip but it ended up being no problem at all and got resolved very quickly. I can especially recommend our porter guide Gupal who has over a decade of experience in all kinds of treks.
I was not my fittest at the beginning of the trek and he adapted the itinerary right away, because his highest goal for him was to get me and my father across the most difficult part (Larke Pass) without altitude sickness and extreme exhaustion. We made stops that were not planned in the itinerary but because of his vast knowledge of the area he chose just the right spots with amazing view of the mountains. At some point I started getting little headaches etc and he knew right away which medicine to take. Especially at the beginning when he did not know how secure our trekking style was/ we were walking through unsteady terrain he kept on reminding us to stand on the mountain side and just really made sure we were being safe.
My dad is a person who is very interested in culture history geography and politics and Gupal was able to answer all his questions and more, every tree he could name and he knew a lot interesting stories.
But my favorite thing might have been that he is just a very smiley person and even when I was having a “down” moment he asked if I’m okay. He also likes to sing and dance which a lot of other groups were pretty jealous of I would say haha and made for a great video at the base camp.
Finally he gave me loads of good tips for my following trip to Pokhara and organized my flights through the agency (though I might suggest to everyone to not fly shree airlines because they were always the one airline that was (very) delayed).
Thanks Cchatra and Gupal for the once in a lifetime experience!

We did Gokyo/Renjo La Pass trek including Kathmandu city tour with Nepal Eco Adventure and everything was perfect!

We booked during pandemic with a lot of uncertainties but Chhantra, the owner, was really helpful and always answered our thousands of questions in less than 24hours.

Guides and porters are well respected by the agency (and we can feel it!) and they all are really great with clients. Deepen, our principal guide was great, smiling and knowledgeable of the mountain, Nepalese and Sherpa culture. He always made sure we had no signs of altitude sickness, served us like kings during the trek and in the teahouses with small attentions (fresh fruits and even birthday cake!) and thanks to his constant positive mentality, we made it through the toughest part of the trek!

We also started our trek with other groups (total of 9 people so still small but really fun :)) so we had 3 guides with us at different times. Raj, the principal guide of the other group was also always here for us and made sure at every step we were ok (I had a headache the 2nd day, he really was here for me and made sure that I was able to keep going in all safety!). Basu and Dana, other guides of other groups, were also really nice and even if they were not our guides, that always also made sure our comfort and wellness during our trip!

Also special thanks to our porter, always really nice, respectful and smiling, without him we would not have been able to do it!

All that to say, Chhantra’s team is great and more than experienced. You can trust them during the entire trip!

Gokyo/Renjo La Pass is the best itinerary we could have choosen! First, they made sure we had enough acclimatation days, which was beneficial as any of us in our group had altitude sickness and neither took Diamox! Second, Gokyo Ri and Renjo La Pass were magnificent places. Most beautiful place in the world!

I fully recommend going directly with Nepal Eco Adventure, a Nepali based agency that you can 100% rely on and that respect 100% their employees (Go local!!)

Thanks to all the team for this experience that we will never forget!

Nepal Eco Adventure is going to be the best choice for any trekking guide in Nepal. From coordinating with Chhatra before arriving to Kathmandu, to our guide BJ providing us with the most epic adventure ever, We can’t thank them enough for the memories they’ve provided us with. We felt very safe every step of the way and never felt we ever had to worry about anything. I highly recommend requesting BJ as your guide. There wasn’t a question he didn’t have an answer to and there was never a moment where he didn’t put our interests and needs first. He goes above and beyond to ensure his clients are having the best experience and he more than succeeded in doing so. It was amazing to see how many people BJ knew on the trail. He was also able to provide access to certain experiences that we could never dream of. We had great conversation with BJ throughout our trip, some we will never forget and only after a day after the completion of our trip, we miss him dearly ! Our porter, Prim, showed immense strength in his ability to push through the trail when we needed to coverage many miles in a single day. He was very flexible with working with our customized itinerary. He was always happy to help and made our trip that much more enjoyable. Furthermore, we felt the way BJ organized the trek itself was a perfect choice for enjoying the Sherpa and Buddhist culture, beautiful views and amazing food. I would recommend anyone who wants to experience this part of the world to hire Nepal Eco Adventure!!
Thank you so much BJ and Prim !!

I was a solo trekker and joined up with these fellas for a mission around Sigamartha. The company was an absolute delight and making arrangements with them was a breeze. I arranged the trip fairly last minute and was blown away by how helpful and responsive they were. Honestly, Chhatra at the head office takes about two minutes to respond to any question you have at any time (10/10 professional).

For the trek I was paired up with Renji Sherpa who was the best guide you could hope for. He lives near Lukla and was packed with local knowledge and new all the best places to stop and check out. He’s also pretty crack-up and a good dude to spend a few weeks with. Renji is an accomplished mountaineer so when we hit ice and snow a few times going over passes (altitude above 5k meters) and hit snow, ice, and cloud I felt bloody good knowing I had a pro and didn’t have to worry about safety or making any decisions. Being a sea level dweller at altitude for the first time that state of mind was priceless. I fully recommend This company and especially Renji as a guide.

My return flight from Lukla was delayed due to bad weather. After waiting a couple days I teamed up with another company guide BJ to trek out and hitch a ride in a jeep back to Kathmandu. He was on his way home and let me tag along with a group Nepalese for the trip. He looked after me like I was still on a trek and without him It would’ve taken a few extra days and been a much bigger ordeal. A huge thank you to BJ for doing that and it’s a good example about how the Eco Adventure crew go the extra mile.

The whole team overall was super helpful and the whole experience was fantastic. Also, the treks are very reasonably priced for what you get. In discussions with a few other solo trekkers in Sigamartha who were up there without a guiding company. It was clear that I was paying only a small premium for a safety net in an environment that can be pretty harsh and unpredictable at times.

TLDR: bloody good and reasonable company - Renji Sherpa is the man - have you emailed them about your trek yet?!

I had a wonderful time doing the 15 day Langtang Trek. Chhatra (the owner) was extremely helpful and responsive as we planned our trip. Shyam (our guide) was an impressive, experienced and professional guide. He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of great information about the culture and natural surroundings. He was also cognizant of the potential for altitude sickness and ensured we took our time, avoided potentially sketchy foods and no one got sick.

Shyam was also very flexible as half way through the trip, my friend hurt her ankle and we had to switch our plans, drop her off, and continue on for a week with just myself, the guide and porter. As a solo female treker the second week, I felt very comfortable with Shyam and our porter. Highly recommend this company and Shyam for Langtang or any trek!

We just came back from an amazing experience during the Annapurna circuit trekking with our guide Santosh and our porter Nitre. We definitely had a good time and enjoyed the wonderful views during this trekking. Santosh could explain us a lot about the environment, the mountains, the locals and the towns we passed. He really succeed in giving us the best time of our life! He also respond succesfully to the weather forecast (a snow storm on the day we should pass the pass). He advised us to pass the Thorung La Pass two days earlier than planned and we succeed! Without the help of both Santosh and the strong Nitre (carrying most of our backpack) we would never have made it. Thanks again both for this really great experience and the funny moments! Hope to see you again in the future on another trekkking :)
