Need to walk a lot and little far from the city. If it is sunny then carry water bottle to this place and will help you. The dome of the monastery is very well designed and is very old structure to have a look.

breathtaking scenic view from the monastery looks like you are in a real heavenly palace! You can visit the 3rd Jamgön Kongtrül Rinpoche's relics and stupa inside the monastery.

This place is yet another place to be in if you are searching for place with clean peaceful environment. Located just about 2 km from kapan monastery this monastery isn't less than kopan monastery in any aspect. These two moastery are both equally beautiful only difference is kopan monastery is more hyped and bit more infrastructured.

Hike up to the place and you will not regret it. It has a serene environment which helps find the peace. Away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city, it is the ideal place to relax in solitude.

Pullahari monastery is situated far away from the busy Kathmandu city. This is only recommended if you have a full day time. Hiking around and not top is something additional. Bring your own lunch and it could be a great picnic. The view of the valley is very pretty form the top. Highly recommended.

Just 40 minutes walk, or a short trip by local bus or taxi from Boudha, the Pullahari Monastery is a sanctuary far away from the crowds and bustle of Kathmandu. The Monastery is located on a hill above the Boudha area on the same ridge as Kopan Monastery. A wonderful day trip is a walk or ride to Kopan Monastery... More

Pullahari Monastery: Nestled in the foothills north of the Great Stupa of Boudhanath, the quiet, secluded serenity of Pullahari is ideal for cultivating deeper insight into the Buddhadharma through listening, reflection, and meditation.
