The architecture of the monastery is similar to that of the temples. Inside of the monastery, it is very peaceful and you can join the monks in their evening prayers.

During my stay at the Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, I discovered the fundamentals of Buddhist Psychology and how to apply meditation and Mindfulness into everyday settings. Explored how these teachings about our mind relate to the coaching profession. A wonderful and gratifying experience.

I spent the afternoon there walking around and meditating in the great hall. Great energy there! Wish I could have stayed longer or for a dharma talk or something - plan your visit around either staying there or around a talk!
