Beautiful retreat

A good picnic spot. Filled with greenery (Duh!), there are also some artificial waterfalls around. There's an entrance ticket as well but its pretty cheap.

There are no many natural gardens or places to visit within the Valley and this is unique. The diverse plant species, flowers, prestine nature and walk within the gardens is stunning. Not to miss.

The botanical gardens located about 25 km from Kathmandu, is laid out in a fairly large area and makes for a refreshing walk amidst shady trees and a meandering stream. Needs more maintenance and care of plants and the surroundings, though. The park authorities dont allow plastic bags or toys such as balls to be taken inside, but we could... More

Maybe it's the wrong time of year, but I was somewhat underwhelmed by this place. Not much was in bloom and it was full of young couples posing for romantic photos or giggling groups with selfie-sticks. It's pleasant enough with some lovely old trees and a fairly clean stream flowing through ... but I was expecting more. Also, those not... More

The most colorful part of the tour of this place, is the plastic bags in the streams. Sort that out and fix the pathways and they just might have a nice place.

I was not expecting to find such a big green forest close to Kathmandu. It was a 30-40 minutes drive from the city, 225 rupees entrance, and perfect escape from the dusty polluted city. We took a slow walk for about an hour and left some parts for the next visit. Great afternoon escape from town.
