It doesn't take very long to see the Greyhound Hall of Fame but it is worth a visit. There's 2 dogs there to pet and love on. The exhibits are nicely presented.

Free (donations appreciated) & conveniently located over the crosswalk from the Dwight Eisenhower complex. Loved our welcome from Gary & Ginger, the sweetest retired racers. Short film gives historical background as to how greyhound dog racing came to be. Self guided gallery of past to present displays. Friendly, knowledgeable docent available to answer questions. Being the 'parents' of two retired... More

We went here just to kill time, and it ended up being one of our favorite places. The two greeter dogs were wonderful. We learned a lot of interesting thing about greyhound racing. If you're in Abilene, don't miss this.

Pretty disappointing, not much here to see. I would have liked more information to be available, and a bit more friendly staff would have been nice.

Very informative place for information on greyhounds. They have resident greyhounds to greet you, just another way of learning about the breed. Nice gift shop with a variety of items.

This museum is well worth a visit. It takes approximately two hours to completely tour this facility. This gives you sufficient time to visit with Ginger and Garry who are the greeter dogs. These dogs are friendly and are wonderful representatives of the museum and Ginger loves to have her picture taken with you. The history of the sport, the... More

If you have any interest at all in greyhounds, racing or gambling, this is a good stop. It's free, and right across from the Eisenhower Museum.

Stopped here after visiting the Eisenhower Museum as they are very close to each other. I spent about an hour here and found it to be interesting. There were two greyhounds who were "greeters" when I arrived. You'll need about 45 minutes to an hour to visit this place. They operate on donations only.

Learned a lot and got to take pictures with the greyhound Ginger who greets you at the door. Admission is free so it's a good time filler (we were waiting for our train ride which is next door) and they take donations.
