What an incredible experience !
This year I realised my more than 30 years old dream, which was to visit Bhutan once in my life, and I must say that thanks to Acorn Tours and Travel, and Karma’s perfect organisation, my dream was more than fulfilled. According to our wishes and with quick responsiveness, Karma organised for my friend and me a tailor-made 20 days tour through the country from East to West, with entry by road into the country from the Jaigaon (India) border. It included a 2 days stay with the Brokpas people in Merak, a stay in Ura to take part to the Ura Yakchoe Festival, with its colourful and spectacular dances, a 2 days excursion to the beautiful off the beaten tracks Haa valley with impressing view of the Himalayan snow covered summits viewed in the far north from the Chelela pass.
Lodging choice was a good balance between typical bhutanese homestays/farmstays and conventional hotels of good level, mainly with lovely character. Food was good and abundant, a special mention to the tasty food in the homestays/farmstays where we appreciated the « not too low spiced and occidental tourists adapted » food !
Thank you to Norbu our wonderful, interesting, helpful and lovely guide, giving me a hand whenever the path was too steep or slippery, and very generous with all kind of informations regarding culture, religion, bird- and wildlife, and a pro-photographer on top. Thank you to Nidrup for your good and safe driving, your kind help and great sense of humour.

I had a wonderful time in Bhutan! Ever since I saw pictures of the Tigers Nest I knew had to visit. But Bhutan is so much more than that and I discovered that through the expert and amazing guidance of Jorden (and driver Dawa)! Every day I learned something new. I really appreciated all their efforts to make my time in Bhutan special and memorable.
5 days was only a glimpse, if you can stay longer then definitely do, but for me this was the perfect tour considering the short amount of time I had.
Communicating with Karma, the owner of the company, was easy and friendly. He took great care to prepare the itinerary, necessary documents and visas, and gave a great tip to sit on the left side of the plane so I could spot Mount Everest on the way to Paro!
I really enjoyed the night stay at a local farmhouse as well as the final dinner with locals.
Highly recommend this company and thank you for a great trip!

This was a wonderful solo trip made special by my 78 year old husband’s guide, Bumthab Lhendup .Everything was well coordinated to enable him to have the best possible experience of all the scenery and culture of Bhutan. The guide and driver made him feel comfortable and ensured that as much as possible was included in every days adventure in this beautiful country. He went to many historical and religious sights and was able to fully sample everything the country had to offer. He was even placed in the front seat of the vehicle to ensure that he got the best possible views when travelling.
The hotels were clean , comfortable and welcoming and the food was plentiful and representative of the country’s cuisine. The trip ended with the climb up to The Tigers Nest , both pleasurable and extremely taxing!
From the initial planning stages with MrPhuntso, in 2020 to completing the trip my husband was impressed with the friendly , helpful and professional team who were obviously so proud of their beautiful country. Throughout the Covid lockdowns he kept him fully informed of the county’s position .
When my husband experienced visa problems at the end of his trip his guide Lhendup returned to the airport and ensured that this was sorted out by arranging a visa extension and new flights for him .
He would wholeheartedly recommend this trip .

I did a private eight-day cultural tour with a two-day Bumdrak trek. The food and resorts included in the package were exquisite, as were the women I traveled with, Llamo and Dawa. Words can't describe what being in Bhutan did for my soul. It was an unforgettable, magical experience I often dream about day and night. Those mountains, all the rice wine and karaoke and dancing in the mountains, laughing as we ran up and down them amidst vibrant flowers. I've really never felt so alive, and I often think about returning. Highly recommend Bumdrak for the adventurous and physically fit, as well as Tiger's Nest, which is well worth all the hype. Watch out for those green chilies and cheese - incredibly hot and addictive! Was a little worried about leeches and the weather based on some stories on the internet, but quickly learned after arriving that leeches are only found in certain parts of Bhutan we weren't visiting, and all weather in Bhutan is gonna lead to good times, especially with company like Llamo and Dawa. :)

Trip of a lifetime! We will always be grateful to Bhutan Acorn Tours, Karma (the owner) helped us plan everything to the last detail, accommodating to our expectations and making sure we got everything just right. Our guide Lhamo was amazing, she taught us so much about Bhutan and Buddhism, and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. Our driver Jamayang had the most amazing vibe and made us feel safe throughout the trip.
It’s not easy to plan and make a trip to Bhutan happen, but doing it with the Bhutan Acorn team made it feel so much simple and allowed us to completely immerse and fully enjoy such a special experience. Just an amazing group of special people we will not forget.

We were planning our trip for a long time as initially we had booked to go in 2020 -- Karma was amazingly helpful and always answered our questions quickly and thoroughly. He also helped us get our initial airline ticket refund from Bhutan Airlines. On the ground the experience was great. Tashi, our guide, and Sonam and Kado, our drivers for different parts of the trip, were all wonderful. We feel like we got to see the real Bhutan and can't wait to come back again someday.

Our Amazing Bhutan from East to West (16Days) adventure was a trip of a lifetime. From the start with scenery and staying with Brokpas people in the east to our visit to Paro Taktsang Monastery in the west and each day in between, was one of new discovery .
Our guide Norbu Gyeltshen and driver were attentive and fun. Like everyone in Bhutan they were always friendly, and we learnt so much about the Bhutanese people, Buddhism and their loyalty to their King .
We are so grateful and appreciative of our opportunity to share in this little gem of a country.

I travelled to Asia in February 2020 and in March beginning I went to Bhutan by this agency. The trip was wonderful, beautiful country and good vibes. my guide, a smart and kind woman, Jangsem Dema and the driver were very nice with me. showed me wonderful places and their culture. I had a great time in Bhutan, the tour was perfect for me and I learned a great deal about the country and it's history and culture. The views were fantastic and I was looked after well by Tashi. The tour was flexible which I loved and I got to see some things that I was interested in that weren't listed as being part of the tour such as archery and darts. Thank you Karma & Tashi.
