If you have a weekend its worth checking off your list. But there is almost nothing in the two rooms--some artefacts (whether real or replicas is unclear) and muddled history...

We arrived without an English guide but were lucky that the French guides wanted to try out their English. They put a lot of effort into the tour and we were very grateful. Some exhibits were a little tired but you get a good overview of local culture and history.

This is a small museum with little artifacts .. Ideal if you are not into large museums ... Don't expect too much entrance is 1500cfa.

This two-room museum is an somewhat odd but endearing pairing two very different times in Togolese history -- prehistory and the Colonial years. An insightful snapshot of the history of Togoland and the German occupation, this museum has a few but important exhibits of a history that's neither well-known, nor well-documented. Worth a visit.

Given that the history of Togo as a sovereign state is relatively recent, the museum was an interesting look at the area's past. Displays of iron working, ceramics and weaving on the main floor; downstairs a description of the slavery industry and a journey through the formation of Togo from its German and French periods through to today. It isn't... More

One of the best collection of statues and masks I have ever seen from all over west Africa. All are labelled and form art f a large private collection, owned by a nice Chinese man. Worth a visit !

This museum was quite the surprise. We did not know the driver was going to stop and we are very happy he did. Although the museum is one step higher than a high school library, it was very interesting and informative. The displays regarding the early life in Togo were very interesting, as were aspects of daily life. I found... More

The museum does not have a lot to offer. It is however worth the 2000 CFA that it cost. It will take you around 30 min to thoroughly explore the place.
